Nice, I added it to step 2 of the guide.

Try logging out/in on the web.

Also, inside Bluestacks try downloading any free app (from the Play Market).

You can also try waiting ~10 mins or so.

For those wanting to buy but their phone is incompatible

Here's a quick guide on how to buy it:

Step 1: Downloads

Step 2: Installs

  • Install Bluestacks
  • Double-Click the apk (AMI) (should default to open with Bluestacks after installation)
  • Now inside of Bluestacks, install any app from the Play Store, so Google identifies Bluestacks properly. (You can uninstall immediately afterwards.)

Step 3: Cleanup

  • Go to your accout
  • Click Devices
  • Find the device listed without name/make/model etc...
  • Rename it to BlueStacks

Step 4: Purchase

  • Go to the app page
  • The install/purchase should now work!
  • (If not, try logging out/in, and check again)

Step 5: Report back

  • Post back here, and let me know what problems if any you ran into.

Good Luck/Enjoy

Edit: As a sidenote, the performance is pretty bad on my machine (Intel HD w/ i7). I just bought it to play on future devices...

Looking for an apartment in central Seattle, moving at the end of June. by nabnobin Seattle

[–]noodlesgc 1 point2 points ago

Threads looking for apartments usually get downvoted here in my experience (probably due to the info in the sidebar).

I've had pretty good luck with HotPads. You can find a lot of private apartments pretty close to SLU, and within your budget. (Watch out for places that are income restricted -- I assume that your Amazon salary will disqualify you for some of the cheaper places.)

Good luck.

You've got to make the case that the child's, mother's, and everyone else's life is better (in aggregate terms) than if the mother didn't carry and the child never lived.

Why does this case have to be made? Can I say for sure that everyone involved in my life is better off (aggregated) that I'm born? Can anyone say this?

Are you really minimizing suffering by forcing a child to be born in an unwelcoming environment?

I don't know. I don't think that anyone can really know for sure in any case. I do think that the potential for life is serious enough that abortion should be more regulated.

Sorry to break it to you but you're mostly pro-choice.

Maybe true. I don't consider myself extremely pro-life, especially in comparison to many pro-life people.

A potential human who is a product of rape is no different than one who is an "oopsie" so why is it morally ok to abort one but not the other?

It's not so much a moral argument for me. I realize that it's no different (biologically) in a case of rape. The difference to me is a case of responsibility and consequence.

If a woman is raped, it's not her fault, and she is put into a (really) shitty situation. In the case of an "oopsie", I think that rather than just having an abortion option readily available, it should be regulated so people would take "oopsies" more seriously.

Methinks this contradictory opinion of yours is most likely due to residual religion from your cultural upbringing.

I don't think there is a contradiction in my viewpoint. I will say that I was raised in a strict Catholic family though.

Hmm, I'm not familiar enough with hosting/DNS to understand why it would do that.

It's been about 24 hours now, I'm starting to wonder if maybe their hosting service cut them off. Or maybe the owner deleted it for some reason?

Sucks too, it looks like it was a pretty fun game (based on the comments here).

So you are saying, carrying an unwanted baby and shooting it out your vagina by the oppression of your government, to your own financial expense, and shipping the baby into a terrible adoption system is a good thing? and that's a better option than destroying a group of cells?

Nope, I don't think it's a good thing. And I certainly don't want an oppressive government. But would you consider a government that denies anything to be oppressive?

For example, I don't consider a government to be oppressive when it prohibits certain drugs, even though some people want/need it. Even though a person taking those drugs (heroin for example) doesn't directly harm anyone else, I still think it should be illegal because it's "bad" (I'll explain "bad" below...)

Why is it bad? "Bad" is not a good enough term for your argument.

Obviously abortion is not 100% good or 100% bad. I do think that the negative effects of abortions do warrant the issue to be given serious consideration.

Don't you think that if abortion were illegal (with a "prescription" system), more care would be taken to prevent them in the first place?

I think that the more readily available that abortions are the more they will be used as a system of convenience rather than a system of need.

So what's your idea of a perfect contraception? Forceful contraception to eliminate any possibility of impregnation?

My idea of perfect contraception would be contraception (a pill?) that works 100% of the time, works on both men and women, and it's used when a pregnancy is unwanted.

"Each year, almost half of all pregnancies among American women are unintended.1 About half of these unplanned pregnancies, 1.3 million each year, are ended by abortion" via National Abortion Federation Abortions are sometimes avoidable, and when it's avoidable, try your best. No one is going to argue with that. But the illegalisation of abortion is completely anti-woman, anti-science, ignorant, and unnecessary.

Again I'm not for the complete illegalisation of abortion. More of a strict regulation.

I certainly don't think I am anti-woman. I think that the more that abortion is seen as a perfectly ok procedure, the more it will be used when it may not be needed.

I can't see how I am anti-science...

I may be ignorant to a certain extent. I certainly don't know all the facts/information. But based on what I do know, my opinion is that abortion is something that should be more regulated.

As for it being unnecessary, I disagree. I think that the (maybe few) harmful effects as well as the prevention of the chance of life is enough of an issue that abortion should not be 100% legal.

I'm not too familiar with Trisomy 13, or many other conditions.

After a bit of reading I do think that that, and similar conditions could warrant an abortion.

I'm not a doctor. I think the doctor should give his professional opinion on whether an abortion is warranted or not...

Interesting argument.

Isn't it better that they are given a chance though? Obviously they can't make the choice, but don't you think it would be better if they were given a chance at life?

I just think it's a pretty heavy statement to say that someone would be better off if they were never born.

I do think that even though kids might be born into a shitty low-class area, the quality of life is still relatively not that bad (I've never been there so I can't really be one to say though).

Does this give you an answer for the most part? I'm not sure if I've fully understood your point.

I can't really give a clear definition really.

I can say a couple cases though.

  • If the life of the mother is at stake.

  • maybe in the case of a rape victim. (Though a plan-b pill solution would be preferable IMO). And adoption even better.

As I stated in a previous comment, I think abortion should be illegal, but can be "prescribed" to people at the discretion of a doctor.

I think most abortion activists agree with "contraceptives are a good thing".

You'd be surprised. Most of the students at my (rigid catholic) university consider contraceptives to be "super evil" and are extremely pro-life.

So you think punishing a woman to take that mistake full term will encourage that woman to better use contraception?

I don't really see it as a "punishment". And I would have to say Yes; if a woman carried out a full-term, she would probably be more likely to use contraceptives in the future.

Instead of ever fazing it out (which will never happen outside of Alabama), why not just use your pro-life energy to promote contraception and sex education, instead of promoting the illegalisation of abortion?

That might work. I'm not saying more money/energy should be spent fighting (il)legalization - I'm not educated enough on economics/law to say how it should happen, I'm just saying that from my perspective, I think abortion is "bad" enough that it should be "stopped".

I do think there should be more research/money spent on developing new contraceptive methods. (I seem to remember hearing about a new experimental pill for men that someone invented).

Are you a man or a woman?

Man

What about the flood up physically disabled children, or just volume of children? It's not like our (American) adoption system is a symbol of efficiency.

I agree our adoption system sucks (much like many of our systems), but it is there FWIW.

I don't really think that we really face a "volume" problem at this point (at least in the USA). Our total population seems to be pretty reasonably under control and I don't think abortion affects it too much.

As for the disabled/birth-defects, I don't really see that as so much of a problem. Do you think they really hinder our society that much? Do you think they'd be better off never being born?

Well, you're right, but I think the difference between me and many pro-choice people is that I think it should be "opt-in" instead "opt-out".

AKA: Abortion should be illegal. But abortions can still be performed on a case-by-case basis. (Similar to a prescription-drug type system).

Well, I realize in the end it's not the place of anyone else to make a choice for a mother (especially in the case of a rape), but I do think abortion should be fazed out in favor of contraceptives and adoptions.

As for a good reason for being pro-life: I think that whether it is technically killing or not doesn't matter. Abortion is somewhat harmful in a lot of cases.

I don't think that we could ever objectively prove whether or not the fetus is technically a person or not. I do think abortion is not a very good solution to dealing with unwanted pregnancies.

AMA: I am atheist and pro-life AMAA [As Requested] by noodlesgcin AMA

[–]noodlesgc[S] 0 points1 point ago

Dunno.

I'm not an extremist or religious, so I won't pretend to think that it begins at a ridiculously early stage. I've never been to a protest, never stood outside a clinic, and I've never even been to the March For Life in DC.

Whether the aborted fetus(?) is technically a baby or not doesn't matter to me. I just think there is harm done to the mother that could have been prevented (possibly by promoting contraceptives).

In the end, I won't judge someone for getting an abortion if they are a rape victim or other extenuating circumstances. I just think abortion should be fazed out in favor of contraceptives or adoption agencies.
