TROPHY CASE

Thinking of moving to North Point Breeze, anyone familiar? Is it a safe-ish area? by mythosisinsanein pittsburgh

[–]nnunley 0 points1 point ago

THe street I live in in North Point Breeze is great, as a home owner. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the large apartment complex on my block. While it could be a historical landmark, the owners have failed to put any money into it in the years that I've been here. Friends who have lived there have had many complaints.

Weyland Industries - Our Family is Growing (Prometheus Viral Video) by dafonesin entertainment

[–]nnunley 1 point2 points ago

According to the Weyland Industries corporate timeline:

"After years of litigation, Weyland wins the David patent lawsuit against the Japanese start-up Yutani Corporation, effectively protecting the investments of both Weyland Industries and its shareholders." in 2029. Presumably, they acquire Yutani later on, between Prometheus and the Alien movie.

It looks like Fox is gearing up for a full AR game for prerelease promotion.

I'd recommend the Uglies trilogy by Scott Westerfeld if you want to stay in the YA realm of Sci-fi.

Looks like they're getting their technology act together. You can always listen to Car Talk on their website. There's also the live stream link on NPR itself.

Got a similar response from my rep:

Thank you for taking the time to contact me regarding S. 968, the Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property (PROTECT IP) Act of 2011. I appreciate hearing from you about this issue.

S. 968 was introduced by Senator Patrick Leahy on May 12, 2011. The PROTECT IP Act would allow the Attorney General and property rights holders to take legal action against websites dedicated to copyright infringement and intellectual property theft. It would also allow the Attorney General and rights holders to seek a court order to have websites engaging in piracy shut down.

The PROTECT IP Act would make the Internet more secure by empowering intellectual property rights holders to help identify and eliminate rogue websites that operate maliciously and are dedicated to violating intellectual property rights of innovative and original entities.

S. 968 was voted out of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary on May 26, 2011 and has been placed on the Senate calendar. When this legislation is voted upon, please be assured that I will have your views in mind.

Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future about this or any other matter of importance to you.

If you have access to the Internet, I encourage you to visit my web site, http://casey.senate.gov. I invite you to use this online office as a comprehensive resource to stay up-to-date on my work in Washington, request assistance from my office or share with me your thoughts on the issues that matter most to you and to Pennsylvania.

Sincerely, Bob Casey United States Senator

His edge detection/magnification stuff is written in pure python with no calls out to external libraries. That's really the wonder of this particular hack (and the thrill of Pypy).

You might want to contact The Midwife Center to see if they have any recommendations. They were able to handle most of the prenatal stuff, and work with various Ob/Gyns if needed.

Pretty sure it's Sony. I switched over to my 360 as soon as this started happening, and have had no problems (other than the lower resolution)

My son played it for a while. Unfortunately, it makes all of its revenue off of micro-transactions, you'll find your progress blocked in many places because you need to spend additional money.

Pets require constant maintenance (frequently requiring an influx of cash), so if you find that you can't log in for a period of time, your pet will die.

I'd probably give it a pass unless SOE was going to gift PSN+ members with a stipend to offset some portion of the cash overhead.
