Most solar systems are hooked into the power grid and send excess power to the grid. In this case, you get paid by your utility for unused electricity that your system generated during the day, so in essence, you are able to use that power.

In other cases, solar systems have a bank of batteries to be able to store the energy for use later.

I'm assuming you mean that the stuff that wouldn't have suited /environment (your subreddit) is spam. I'm curious to know exactly what in ecoreddit you think is spam and why it doesn't fit with /environment.

I'm sure if you read back through this thread you'll realize that I was in no way comparing my submissions being ignored to torture. I was comparing (a) your apparent willingness to ignore the mounting evidence against qgyh2 because he's been nice to you to (b) a hypothetical someone ignoring the fact that their friend engages in torture at Gitmo because their friend always seems like a nice guy in personal interaction.

What's sick is when people purposely twist what other people say because they have no other defense.

For the record, I wasn't trying to get a response from you with a reference to torture, it was the first most obvious example of why your reasoning was faulty that popped into my head. All that means is that I'm strongly opposed to torture.

The first sub was deleted, not the second sub... so there was no pretense for it to get labeled as spam the first time around.

And, as you'll find out if you read through comments elsewhere here, it wasn't technically deleted. It simply disappeared from the enviro subreddit "new" section within seconds of me subbing it.

And, as you'll further find out from reading more of the comments, I'm by far not the first person to experience this, so no, it's entirely not my fault.

Let me get this straight... Your blanket statement concluding that all intelligent people have already left this thread implies that anybody still commenting in this thread is an idiot. I guess that makes you an idiot?

Oh the irony. Or is that satire? Maybe a dash of hypocrisy too?

Look, this submission really isn't just about me. In fact, the subject of this submission doesn't even have anything to do with me. It has to do with a user named allergic who posted a screen cap that I did some more research on and then subbed about.

If you think it's stupid to try and fix a system that's quickly becoming broken and make reddit healthy again, then color me stupid.

How did I know, out of all the substance in my comment, that you would comment on that one aspect? That type of defense is old and transparent.

It was an example. Of course it's not like torture, that would be an assumption only idiots would make. But my comparison gets the point across...

Now, if you have responses that address the actual substance of my comment, by all means.

I get it that I'm the first person you've ever heard of make a big deal about this. But just because I'm the first person you've come across, doesn't mean you have to put blinders on to all of the evidence and personal experience that you surely have seen in this post's comments and other posts linked to from this post.

Now that you've read through all of the links and evidence presented you must realize that LOTS of people feel this way and that I'm just the most recent in a long line of people to get pissed about this.

I'm sure that some of the people who conduct torture at Gitmo are always nice to their friends, but that doesn't mean their friends automatically should give them passes when they find out the truth.
