I'm glad to learn that this sensation actually has a name, and that I'm not just fucking weird.

I first noticed this in the 3rd grade, when I was checking out books in the library. It happened every time. It was something in the opening and closing of the plastic protected books, placement of the due date slip, and scanning of the barcode that just made the back of my head, neck, and arms just tighten and tingle. I usually get goosebumps too.

My general triggers: getting my hair cut (especially my bangs), listening to binaural audio/recordings (the virtual haircut video that was posted earlier definitely gets me), scalp massagers, sitting on that paper in doctor's offices, certain songs and breakdowns, watching someone write or draw (often with a pencil), and sometimes, close interaction with a stranger in professional settings or in a check-out line.

34A here. Back in middle school, I can remember looking at other girls and wondering when it was going to be my turn. I was desperately hoping that I was just a late bloomer -- but no, my "turn" never really came. It hit me the hardest when a female classmate signed my yearbook: "Jade, don't worry. You'll have really big boobs one day! Even if you have to pay for them." Ouch.

Back then, I only hated my small boobs because I hated the thought of being different. But now, at 22, I wouldn't have it any other way. I'll admit, I still get super pissed when I don't fill out certain tops and dresses the way they're intended to be, but then I just remember the little secret Victoria told me (THIS BRA HAS CHANGED MY LIFE).

Other than that, I consider my small boobs a blessing.

  • They weed out the superficial assholes. (If my tits aren't "good" enough for a guy, then you can be damn sure he's not good enough for me.)
  • They do not have stretch marks.
  • They are always perky.
  • They will never sag.
  • They will never cause back problems.
  • You can sleep on your stomach.
  • You can run and play sports comfortably, even without a sports bra.
  • You can probably go without wearing a bra without being noticed.
  • You're far less likely to be objectified, and far more likely to be taken seriously. People are talking to YOU, rather than your cleavage.

VIVA LA ITTY BITTY TITTIES!

TBS' annual "A Christmas Story" marathon was (and is still considered to be) a time-honored tradition in my house growing up.

1) Aesthetically speaking, what would the perfect resume look like to you?

2) How big of a role does a well-designed resume actually play?

3) Concerning the interview process, what non-verbals do you find to be the most off-putting? On the flip side, is there one that could potentially seal the deal?

4) After the interview, what would be the ideal way for a candidate to follow-up with you (e-mails vs. handwritten notes)?

Happened a few years ago, but I'll never forget walking into our kitchen to find my 4-year-old cousin trying to stuff herself into the freezer:

Me: "Morgan, sweetie, what are you doing?"

Morgan, on the verge of tears: "Katie [her older sister] said she won't let me in the clubhouse because I'm not cool enough! I WANNA BE COOL!"

When I was about 8 or so, I was canoeing at camp with another girl. Out of nowhere, the biggest spider I've ever seen in my *life* appeared on the bottom. My only reaction was to jump out. So I did. In the middle of the lake. Needless to say, I was never allowed to use the canoes again.

Every single cent counts, seriously! Thank you very much. It's greatly appreciated.

I'm not exactly sure if they accept donations in the form of wristbands, you'll probably have to contact their main office to find that information out. Haha, but I'm sure the pants thing can be arranged. Again, thank you! I'll be updating the website with the outcome tomorrow night.

  1. Thank you!
  2. Yeah, I figured it'd be a good twist to add into the mix, but I'm pretty sure I lived vibrantly through the 1950s in a past life.
  3. Your secret's safe with me. Promise. Thank you so much for the donation!

Oh, wow. Thank you! Seriously. It's just over $230 at the moment. We didn't have too much time to prepare and are only given 48 - 60 hours to fundraise as much as we can. We'll see how it goes! You've helped immensely.
