Are you kidding? The author himself would probably say this article was self serving. He's obviously very interested in getting exposure for the research he did, gets paid to write pieces for discovermagazine.com, and hates helping his kid read the directions for LEGO sets. Combine them all and you have this article. It's a comedy piece designed to get people to visit his blog that he linked to after the ad break and read his research paper.

Even though this Amazon review seems to be nonsense, the author says there is "smart touch" controls for volume. Have you scoured the manual to make sure there aren't some hidden touch buttons you're missing? New monitors are hilariously un-intuitive with a lot of basic functions like that.

Soulseek was still part of the dark ages of music sharing in my book, even though it was kind enough to give an average bitrate for each file. If I just wanted to sample a song then there are dozens of options these days, but if I'm seeking something out of print and want a high quality copy then I'm definitely checking What.CD.
