Sooo you're saying she could still be traditional xian? Too many fancy words man :( English is my 2nd language.

Being aware of what something means to other people isn't denying what it means to you.

You're talking about Janina? Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't it be very non-xian to engross yourself in doing works that expresses blasphemy? Calling God a delusion and dictator and what not.

My calling her a liberal xian was a very loose interpretation; liberal is a big word. She just don't seem to be a bible-belt xian that is mostly targeted in this subreddit.

Ye, check my comment further down. Came to the conclusion she's quite liberal when it comes to her faith.

I know, when I first glanced over the other works it seemed clear she was Christian though so I thought her new pledge was more a rebellion against the nationalistic one. However, looking closer at the other works you can see she seem to be questioning her faith, or at least have a very non-traditional look at it. Look at this god poster that Basilisc pointed out, "grand objectifying delusion, grave oppressive dictator" - not very Christian sounding, is it?

Also, knowing she COULD have kept "under God" in the pledge further strengthen my new notion that she's not a hardcore Christian, but a more liberal one.

I'm Swedish too and that's partly the reason why I tried to find the source!

And grave opressive dictator...

What are you trying to say/point out though? She's still a Christian, although a not very traditional one it seems.

Yup, she's Christian. Looking at her other works it seems pretty clear this poster wasn't Atheism-inspired. She just happens to dig Earth (and perhaps thought the modern pledge was over the top in a nationalist way, not religious?).

edit: came to the conclusion she's got a liberal view on faith, read further down

mind editing your comment since it's on top? :)

if anyone wonders I used Google's "search by image" function, input a clear thumbnail from previous posters, found several sites selling the poster, one was kind enough to credit Janina Lamb. Google4lyfe

The horizon "bended" after sunset and I could see beyond the normal field of view; ocean and land that I've never seen before! What happened? by mygrapefruitin askscience

[–]mygrapefruit[S] 0 points1 point ago*

Well it did bend... ? The light bended along the curve of the earth which made the horizon seem bended.

I came to this subreddit to get the scientific explanations and terms to replace my amateur ones.

A hawk swooped down and stole my lunch today – again. At least the fifth time. Anyone else? by KyotoGaijinin japan

[–]mygrapefruit 0 points1 point ago*

This happened to me in front of that famous cherry tree in Maruyama park in Kyoto, the sun was setting behind me so when the hawk/eagle (?) swooped down people started clicking their cameras, wish I could get to see the shots they got. Was kind of cool but I lost my crepe. :(

I need your advice guys! What Australian candy & sweets should I buy my homesick dad for his upcoming 50th bday? Would you know of a company that ships candy to Sweden? by mygrapefruitin australia

[–]mygrapefruit[S] 1 point2 points ago

I don't know what I mean! Whatever Australians buy with their pocket money when they want something to chew on. :)

Thanks, I'll check Favs out.

Last time OP's photo got frontpage'd we (redditors) came to the conclusion that this rollercoaster existed in several version around the world. I remember the one I rode was from Kneippbyn, Gotland (you can see on 4th row).
