Only if you overfeed them.

Ours is actually pretty smart took all of 5 min seconds to train him not to come in the house you can leave the doors wide open now with the cat food on display and he wont step inside.

Found a rather noisy guest in the garden today by tazbuc5in pics

Thats heart breaking our peacock turned up years ago and hes awesome comes when called follows us on walks, very tame, gets on with the cats. I'm sure some of the people there we're crushed to watch them been exterminated.

A peacock wandered into my neighborhood, I got it into my garage. Now what? by travisAKAmaverickin AskReddit

unless the fence is several story's high it wont hold a peacock. Ours can jump onto the roof of a 2 story building from ground level.

yes if you want him to leave do not feed him and let him out the garage they need to be outside.

But honestly peacocks are awesome ours turned up several years back now hes basically a free range family pet. Hes perfectly capable of looking after himself so keep him out of your house and just leave him to it he should be fine outside they are very good at climbing trees to sleep in at night and avoid predators.

Also hes likely shiting everywhere because you fed him to much, if you give them food they will just eat and shit out the excess if you do feed them only give them tiny amounts.

p.s just looked at the picture and its a female you have there.

He turned up about 4 years ago with another male and a female. We think he escaped from a breader someware but we dont know for sure. the other male eventualy left and lives up the road from us, pecky lives at our house most of the time theres a big tree nearby he goes up at night in to sleep. If we go out he'll follow us around and is very tame but doesn't like to be stroked. We sometimes feed him but he doesn't depend on us.

Sometimes he will wonder off for and we wont see him for afew weeks there was an article in the local paper about a peacock terrorising a nearby villiage which we think was him.
