After 3 months of seeing nothing but intolerance from this sub, I've come to think that love and tolerance is false and that this fandom is at least 90% hypocrites.

I completely agree that at the least, 90 percent of the people you see in these subs, are in fact, hypocrites.

They claim that they do love and tolerate 100% of the time, but the fact is that they either don't, only do under specific circumstances, or do, but only half the time.

But what you want to look for, is that remaining 10%.

I just find it really funny that you bronies say "love and tolerance" like it's a religious mantra, but when it comes to someone like me who is negative and cynical all the time, you guys would rather tell me to be nice or leave the fandom. (Don't laugh, it HAS happened).

When you see a brony who says it extremely often, like a mantra, those are the ones who tend to be huge hypocrites, especially when they go back to their real life, but given the anonymity of the internet, we all like to pretend that we are different people than who we really are, for better or for worse.

The reason why people tell cynics or haters to leave, rather than try and tolerate them, is because while 90% of this fandom are hypocrites, they are also lazy, and unwilling to try and understand anyone who thinks or operates differently, because they are more often then not, too busy having fun with other hypocrites, and don't want anyone to spoil their fun.

So, until everyone can start tolerating my cynicism (Because not everyone is instinctively nice and it is foolishly naive to think so or expect people to be) and "loving" the other aspects to my personality. Until then I'm going to continue calling everyone a hypocrite.

I will gladly tolerate your cynicism, and i do, in fact, believe that not everyone is instinctively nice, but i also believe that everyone has the capacity to be Loving as well.

In fact, i already know, and completely love other cynics in this community. Many of us are full of hate and disregard for others, but there are key aspects in them that i love as well.

While this may have something to do with my history in /b/, i gladly embrace the hateful, because even they have something to offer to a community.

So really, "Love and Tolerate" isn't false. It's just that the majority of us don't take the time or effort to practice it.

Like i said, it's that key 10% that makes it worthwhile...
