The lead singer of the band Against Me! just came out as transgender last week. There's a big feature about it in the current Rolling Stone. All his life he wanted to be a woman. Dressed up in women's clothes, prayed he'd wake up as woman every night. Had a lot of shame about it. Well, she's decided to stop hiding it. It got to the point she couldn't ignore it anymore, so she's going to start living life as a woman. She planning on changing her name to Laura. She's married with a two year old daughter and her and her wife are staying together. She's going to start taking hormones and keep touring with the band. So fucking brave and awesome.
