I FOUND THE HOT GIRL!!! (From the new big boobs meme) original link posted in comment by kkktookmypandaaway by thaginganinjain AdviceAnimals

She's got a hot body, I see nothing wrong with confidence and it shouldn't really matter to me whether she's a "slut" or not. I'm looking at a picture. It shouldn't matter to her what cocky internet strangers think of her either.

Wife of 12 years has been gone a month on vacation and I haven't missed her. by bachelor_dad_maybein AskReddit

I'm that way with my boyfriend. We've been together for 7 years, we have two kids and I love him to death but I enjoy rare occasions when I don't see him for a couple days. He's funny, but sometimes he doesn't know when to stop and I sometimes resent that he sort of feels like a third child I have to take care of.

You should talk to someone, if not her. People need to vent. (Hopefully writing it down was a relief for you) But now that you're aware of this issue you have you'll keep thinking about it and chances are it will fall out of your mouth one day to her when you're especially stressed out or something anyway. Maybe it doesn't mean you love her any less but bottling it up will create problems not solve them.

In 10-15 years my kids will both be grown up and this bottomless pit of anxiety and fear swallows me when I let myself contemplate whether I'm adequately preparing them to become something other than douche bag idiots.

That is very good but... I cannot stand Tobey Maguire. Why did it have to be him. Dammit I want to hit someone for this. Rationally I should not be this pissed off about a casting choice in a movie but I am.

The first time the concept of death occurred to me was watching Judge Doom dunk the cute little shoe in the dip. (Who Framed Roger Rabbit)

I'm horrified that a magazine would actually print these things about a woman - especially a magazine that seems to be aimed at tweens/teenagers. by qibain TwoXChromosomes

[–]motney 1 point2 points ago

You see magazines and gossips shows and such throw snide remarks and clever quips all the time, and people maliciously eat that stuff up but these aren't even thinly veiled much less clever in any way. Theyre just down right bad insults. I'm not into that sort of reading material even material directed more toward my age demographic but do teens even think this is good mud slinging?

Someone I know just paid off their student loan, in full...in cash. by otiose321in WTF

[–]motney 0 points1 point ago

My old co worker didn't spend a penny of her cash tips for three years. That's how she did it.

Actually got more tips that way sometimes. Every once in a while you get a patron who asks whether you'd prefer cash or credit for a tip. She'd tell them credit went to bills and living expenses and cash went toward college fund so they could decide. People ended up leaving a good credit and cash tip enough times to make me debate my morals and use the tactic dishonestly.

I had the only room on the ground floor, plus, if that wasn't enough, a window in an very old farm house that allowed me to pop out the screen, pop it back in and be on my merry way.

The irony of it was that I never found the need to take advantage of this good luck since I had a bit of freedom and hated disrespecting a punishment or guideline given to me because they were usually reasonable (and deserved) even if I personally hated them.

Wow man. I'm so sorry. How recent did this happen? Possibly your mom was just very emotional at the time and she could possibly come around?

My friend was actually delivering her son while her dad was coming back from Mexico to bury his mother. They pointed out how life always comes to an end at some point but that there are always new beginnings and his new grandson was just bringing things full circle.

I hope that your mom will see it that way one day.

My grandma's the same way. Even if I say thank you when I receive it, call again with another thank you, wear it the next time I'm with her or mention how useful it's been, she still shames me that I didn't go out, buy a folded piece of paper and a stamp, sign my name and drop it in the mail. It's just so trivial for me to keep up with, I'd much rather show my appreciation in more meaningful ways.

Do you have scars with a silly story behind them? by NotRamziin AskReddit

I've got a small dent in my forehead from when I was about 3 or 4. I was standing up on a wooden rocking chair holding the back rocking back and forth when the inevidable happened and it tipped and I slammed face first to the ground.

I had splinters all over and two black eyes from the wooden slots of the rocking chair. This in and of itself wasn't a big deal because I was a dare devil child however since I always seemed to have some sort of new cut, bruise, abrasion someone called the state on my parents.

Years later my aunt pulled my mom aside and apologized profusely for having thought my parents beat me but she had never realized all the kinds of accidents kids can get into until she had kids herself and she was the one that reported them.

Hey Reddit, it's time for some heartwarming tales. What is the best thing a friend has ever done to cheer you up? by Avorisiin AskReddit

[–]motney 8 points9 points ago

I was the young single mom of my one year old son at the time my dog died. She was my everything I had had her for 15 years. I was on the verge of tears the entire day and just went from task to task all day with any of it barely registering.

Being young my friends were usually out partying and having fun but somehow they found out, canceled their plans on a friday night and showed up at my doorstep and quietly hung out with me the entire night. I was ready to wallow the night away alone but these kids all came and distracted me from it.

Such a simple gesture yet it made such an impact because of how much I realized I needed it and the fact they loved me enough to care. They're all still my bestest friends after years and years.

Well I would ask because I'd logically give him enough for a solid meal every day. If he needed more after that I'd like to know why. I wouldn't be a bitch about it and I wouldn't except him to be sarcastic about it. Just a simple answer would suffice. It may not be all that obvious.

What's the most badass thing your mother or father has ever done? by Vomit_Cometin AskReddit

[–]motney 1 point2 points ago

My mom was a director for a group home for the physically and mentally disabled for most of my childhood. It was Halloween one year when my dad took us to go visit. (We had done this often and as it was Halloween the residents loved handing out candy to us)

Unfortunately we were walking up to the house when one of the residents stalks past us ( I still remember to look in his eyes) and followed right behind is my mom. She rushes past us saying, "You need to go NOW" As we turn the resident reaches into a garden shed pulls out a rake and swings it at my mom.

I watched as she subdued a mentally disabled man easily twice her size having an episode. It was then that I realized just how hard her job was, how brave she was, and how much more I should respect her for still showing someone so much patience and love even after being attacked like that.
