I need to stop reading /r/fitness first thing in the morning... by benhaminein Fitness

That makes sense. Didn't realize you woke up so early. And yeah, I work 10-12 hour days as well - trying to motivate yourself to go to the gym after that is tough, but it's always worth it

Why not work out before work?

What would you suggest? I kind of like the idea of drinking a non-beer while I watch Real Housewives and shoot up my estrogen supplements.

"Never weight train more than 2 days in a row. It doesn't matter what body parts are being trained on those days. There should not be more than 2 workouts in a row. In the sample program I gave above, you'll notice that it was 2 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on, 2 days off, thus adhering to this recommendation."

Is there any evidence for this?

You should reach out to filmmakers in your area, amateur or professional. I think this would make great material and I know I would definitely watch a documentary about Project Cooper.

I think it's the dehydration.

Unfortunately, discomfort doesn't result in higher levels of caloric expenditure. Otherwise, I'd be banging my head against the wall all day.

What's the proper dosage for an ECA stack? Also, what have people's experiences been with ECA? How effective is it, anecdotally? Based on the study linked to on the wikipedia page, it seems like ECA is correlated with ~1kg/month in increased weight loss (http://jama.ama-assn.org/content/289/12/1537.full).

Congratulations, but info on your program/diet/penis size would all have been more valuable than a comic.

High-level, easy to understand meta-analysis of Caloric Restriction research. Free full-text (manuscript) from PubMed with links to 70 specific studies. 'Effect of caloric restriction in non-obese humans on physiological, psychological and behavioral outcomes.' by cubanimalin Fitness

"Only a very few will be able to practice a lifestyle of caloric restriction and probably benefit from it. There is therefore a need for the search for organic or inorganic compounds that mimic the biological effects of CR. If such compounds often called “CR mimetics” (such as resveratrol) prove viable in humans, individuals for the most part will opt to enjoy the effects of anti-aging via a ‘pill’ rather than CR."

Pills > willpower. It's the 21st century way.

You should let all the PhDs spending thousands of hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars know that they're just stupid and lacking common sense. We could save a lot of money that way.

The number of search results != quality or relevance. But point taken, worth spending more time trying to find it myself.

Inclined vs Flat bench by faultlessjointin Fitness

[–]mochabear 1 point2 points ago

Is there a common ratio between incline max and bench max? I feel like my shoulders are very underdeveloped. I can rep 135 3x5 on flat bench but after that I can only get 3x70 on incline. Can't decide if this is more a function of being tired or having weak ass shoulders
