Cats in Sinks by ladyroxannein lolcats

I can't go to the bathroom without my cat wanting to join me... So when I'm home alone, I usually leave the door open so that he can come in. One of those times, he jumped on top of the trashcan, then into the sink and laid there staring at me the whole time.

ps. And yes, I was using the laptop in the bathroom.. =P

I'm going to guess that it depends on who is working.. I've heard them call for parties of ones (or 2 or 3s if the ride is big enough) to fill the gaps in odd-numbered or too small parties at Disney.. They do it a lot at water parks. =)

Hey! I've actually been there! It's a pretty nifty bar in Chateau St. Germain, a tiny medieval town in Switzerland. Right next to it you can find the HR Giger Museum. It was pretty unreal to randomly stumble into this place in the middle of such an old historic town.

My mom has always told my brother that if you want to know what a girl is going to look like when she's older, just look at her mother. This will give you a good indication of what will generally happen to the girl's body after she's older and/or has kids.

The Navy reduces the years you had in service from your age. So if you are 32 and served for 4 years, as far as the Navy is concerned, you're actually 28.

So if you get desperate enough, it's always an option...

Oh and also, let me know if you need help applying to jobs. I helped my roommate get a job by endlessly applying to jobs online, until one worked out. I got the time and patience to click away, just can't really offer to help out in person as we're in opposite coasts. Otherwise, I'm more than willing to help!

Last time I flew out of the US, I got into the airplane with an almost full open water bottle in my backpack which I had forgotten about because the security guy was too busy talking to me to bother properly check the x-ray machine.

Maybe terrorists should start looking like 20-something year old Brazilian girls... I've also never been "randomly checked" either.

I went to Europe with my parents this summer. At one point during the trip, in Italy, we got on a train that had a backpack abandoned in one of the overhead compartments and there was nobody in the wagon at all. Most likely, somebody just forgot it behind. Regardless, we decided to let somebody know just in case, as you can never be too safe. All the security people in the train station were gone as it was about 8pm at the time. We tried to tell one of the train station workers who was talking to the operator of the other train, and they told us it wasn't their train, so they couldn't help us. Our train operator was nowhere to be fount at the time. Eventually, after being unable to find anybody at all to help, we just gave up and changed wagons to get furthest away from it as possible, as there were no later train for that day, and our train was about to leave.

Circuit City does that too for those items that have very limited stock and very high demand. You go to the register with your ticket and whatever else you're buying. After you paid, you then pick up your item on the back at the loading door. No mad rush there either, just long lines.

Only time I bought one of those items people fight for was when I paid some lady 20 bucks for her ticket from Circuit City, which she had stayed up all night waiting for. She gave up on buying two TVs and sold me the ticket for the smallest of the TVs (which was 500 bucks off that year).

Why You Should Never Try to Steal a Law Student's Laptop by esotericguyin reddit.com

Law School, as far as I know, is three years long (at least the schools that my friends are attending).

And as far as learning anything legitimate in your college degree goes, it kind of depends on what your degree was. From my friends in law school, I know a few who were Business Majors (Economics or Finance, mainly), an English major, a Religion major, and a Math major. You can major in virtually anything in your undergrad and get into law school, as long as you do well on your LSAT (Law School Admission Test), got good letters of recommendation and a good GPA.

On a side note, the religion major wanted to go to Med School. However, since she has an untreatable sleeping disorder, she didn't think she would be able to go through it. As your career options with a religion major are kinda limited, she's now in her first year of Law School.

My 90-year-old great-aunt in Brazil was better informed about the candidates and this election than most (20-something year olds) friends I have here in the US. She watched every single debate (I believe they get dubbed) and stayed up to watch TV on election night.

Oh and she was cheering for Obama as well.

So if Alaska were no longer a part of the US, does that mean that whoever was born there is no longer an US citizen, and thus they can't run for president? I wonder how citizenship works if a state secedes.. Anybody got a clue?

Except that Palin was born in Idaho... damn, there goes that plan...

I'm guessing it also helps that nowadays, most young people probably personally know at least one homosexual person, if not a handful of them. I think you start to think differently when you can put at face on the issue. It's one thing to take away the rights of someone you don't personally interact with... it's another thing to do that to an friend, or even an acquaintance.

My family has lived in Orlando for the last 12 years. Since we live about 5 minutes from Universal Studios, if you sit on the toilet, you can see fireworks out of the bathroom window. (The only other place to see them is on top of the roof.) So fireworks have pretty much been a daily occurrence in my life for the last decade.

Not only that, I was born in Rio de Janeiro. Every New Year's Eve, we have a huge firework display, and I've yet to see one here in the US to rival it (not saying that there isn't one, I just haven't seen it). There are so many fireworks, that the whole sky lights up, and it looks like the sun is still up. The Disney/Universal Studios displays always seemed kinda puny in comparison.

Between all that fireworks exposure, I still enjoy watching them, but with nowhere near the excitement that my friends feel.

That's a basic supply and demand model right there. =)

The higher the price, the lower the demand. That's because you exclude both the people who are not willing to pay so much for the good and the people who can't afford to.

I have a feeling, however, that the current price songs are sold at is beyond what's equilibrium, favoring the supplier side of the market, rather than the consumer. That just leads to losses to the society and unhappy consumers. =(
