Theoretically I'm 100% for it...for those in dire need of food that stay away from drugs deserve it much more (IMO)...everyone has a choice to start taking drugs.

Singing ability is objective though. It's not the style it's that they can't actually sing well...especially sing in tune.

Indeed! I really meant to comment on the comment above yours. I just think diamonds are a silly recent fad. Unfortunately it's not always about purchasing power but how much you want to go into debt. You need very little down to get a nice ring.

I'm not blaming Obama by any means...it's more or less everyone...I do think he has had opportunities to spend quite a bit less though.

Either you are I are misunderstanding what that -0.1% means. I'm pretty sure it means spending growth rate was exactly the same as the cycle before. Spending amount went considerably up, spending growth RATE stayed basically the same. That means obama spent considerably more, just not at a higher rate than the previous cycle.

That's just scary to me...how we talk about spending like that.

Sorry...missed that.

What's misleading is the verbiage.

When most people hear negative growth...they think spending less. But it's spending more...just at slower rate than the previous year. So everything is based on the previous cycle, year, etc...is it not?

This pedantry is pathetic and grows our debt immensely on both sides of the party line. It makes people "feel" better about spending more and more every year.

What matters our spending compared to GDP, or taxable income. What happened the previous year or cycle is irrelevant.

I have no problem with the government spending money...it can obviously be a great thing.

But, they are spending too much money, exponentially...this is not subjective or ideological. Everyone knows this. NO ONE is actually trying to fix it because it makes both parties look bad.

If you disagree with that...that's fine. But then I'd have better luck discussing this with a chair (smarter than average of course)
