TROPHY CASE

I'm not feeling good about my new phone. by dunnowinsin Android

Your blackberry also has a tiny-ass screen and doesn't do anywhere near what your new phone does.

All that functionality comes at a price, unfortunately.

'Report' should be 'Rumour' in this case.

Also, Gizmodo.

This post is 21 hours old. It is no longer BREAKING news.

You can't edit titles, so you shouldn't put time-sensitive stuff in them. It's utterly stupid to see a BREAKING post nearly a day old.

Apple's 3GS got updated to iOS5. That phone is older than my HTC Desire, which never even got Gingerbread properly.

[Breaking] Google to release 5 Nexus devices on November 5th to celebrate Android’s 5th birthday | TalkAndroid.com by Boynamedstacyin Android

[–]manwithabadheart 0 points1 point ago

Yes but only the US is ass backwards in that on some networks you can't use certain phones. In pretty much every other country the ability to buy unlocked is a lot easier. The US desperately needs Google to sell it directly, but elsewhere not so much. Though it would definitely be nice!

My bad. I confused the G1 with the Droid/Milestone. Damnit.

So Google have acquired the hardware company and and design company of the G1? This is definitely going to be an interesting year.

e: downvoted myself for being an incorrect idiot.

Same. It it painful to hold on to my HTC Desire for another 6 months but if all goes well, it will be worth it.

/r/android, what innovations can we expect now that Google's acquisition of Motorola is complete? by mediumcokein Android

[–]manwithabadheart 0 points1 point ago

The Galaxy Nexus launched globally in November. It is only the Verizon 4g non-nexus that got delayed. That has nothing to do with anyone having early access and everything to do with Verizon delaying the US launch to further promote their Razr and Rezound phones.

Happy two year anniversary, my fellow LOST fans. by manwithabadheartin lost

[–]manwithabadheart[S] 0 points1 point ago

Can definitely understand that. I got into the show towards the end of season two as it aired, and promptly marathoned through the first season.

However, after five years of watching it as it aired I think I definitely preferred it that way. Every week you got to fully digest every single episode, took part in numerous online debates and discussion and you definitely felt like a community of people brought together through this one show we all loved.

Sure, the wait between episodes was painful but in a way I think that was one of the best things about Lost.

So 5th November 2012 is Android's fifth birthday, so Google will be launching FIVE Nexus devices, all of which will be running Jellybean, AKA Android 5.0.

I'm getting a "IT'S ALL BLOODY REAL!" Desmond-vibe here.

This was true in maybe 2010.

It is not true now. Please stop spreading this crap.

Google has said NOTHING about this.

In every article you just linked, there is a line "A Google spokesperson refused to comment".

Please stop spreading FUD as actual fact. You'll just set everyone up for disappointment. It's a fun rumour, and that's it.

The Verizon one hasn't because Google caved. If you want a Nexus experience, it has to be GSM. 4g is way too proprietary and monopolistic.

What are your favorite series finales for a television show? by Adamas_Mustachein AskReddit

[–]manwithabadheart 1 point2 points ago

It pains me that when people think of the LOST finale, they think "lol they were ded the hole tiem". That common misconception is so disheartening, and it puts people off the show. The show itself is really something that shouldn't be missed. Most definitely one of the best tv shows of the last decade.
