That was the goal of the episode - to mislead you.

Those who did guess it was about his brother, were feeling sorry for Cox the entire time. Those who went with the misleading alternative, tore up in pieces at the end of it.

I'm glad I was the second category, like you. Because it shocked me, made me cry, threw my emotions all over the place. I then had the chance to rewatch it, knowing what I knew afterwards, able to see so many more hints.

Cox is such a strong character. Out of the entire storyline, he is the one that develops most, in my opinion. From a hateful man with his hospital as his only care, to a loving father and husband, and a man who is no longer afraid to show his feelings - especially after his brother died.

If she falls for him, and he for her, you've done a really good thing, you were the bigger person.

If they don't end up falling in love and she's still interested in you, see it as a test. She'll get along with your friends but she still loves you more than whatever they have in common.
