Assuming you can get Internet that works: http://www.reddit.com/r/cordcutters

As a direct result of the Pirate Bay ban, the website of the UK Pirate Party has jumped more than 100,000 places in the UK rankings and any moment now will become the 1,500th most-visited website in the country. by nomdewebin technology

Zero understanding might be a little extreme. I think most of them know that it is a series of tubes and most definitely not a truck.

So i'm stuck in jury duty for the next two weeks...anyone have a good recommendation for a place to eat downtown? by xanothis23in cincinnati

I'm going to disagree here. The lunch portions are incredibly small and still overpriced. The food is quite good, but it's not a cheap eat.

Also, if you're doing the electrolytic de-rusting, he says steel is the best, but I've found that carbon is superior as it doesn't flash rust when you pull it back out.

Since it's not really obvious, this will only work for content coming from your PC.

Liquid nails and drywall anchors. What products are your DIY enemies? by Tabdelineatedin DIY

Because it isn't secure, we simply haven't used it. (The children are never there without us in the hallway.)

I installed a child safety gate at the top of our stairs, at the time the drywall screws I put in as pilots seemed very sturdy. Now the latch is loose and I wish I had done it with drywall anchors.

Help with Chess set by Wage10in woodworking

[–]liquidhot 0 points1 point ago

I am not an experienced woodworker, but from looking at that picture you will probably need a lathe to make the leg (and a lathe will let you make most of the standard chess set).

You'll need something to cut the curves on the edge, you can do it with a router I think. You can probably get the wood as molding and save a lot of time/money.

The corners are mitered, so you'll probably want a miter jig of some form.

Again, I'm only beginning, so I'm just guessing on a lot of this.

Wooden Drinking Mugs, one of my first projects. by liquidhotin woodworking

Interesting. I was told that Titebond is generally considered stronger than the wood itself.

I used zipties and taped them to the handle to keep them from splitting. I also used zipties for the mug cylinder portion

.75 inch. But it really should have been .5 inch, I thought I would need the extra thickness to get a good glue surface, but I think it was overkill.

I didn't take any unfortunately. I plan to do a few more with a hardwood and I will make sure I get a lot of step by step shots.

My understanding is that Epoxy becomes inert and basically like plastic once it cures. Here is wood central's take on "food safe". http://www.woodcentral.com/cgi-bin/readarticle.pl?dir=finishing&file=articles_497.shtml

EDIT: Also, the epoxy does contain Bisphenol A (BPA) which is a little controversial and that's why if you buy products for infants a lot of them are labeled as BPA Free. However, it's practically in every other plastic.
