Of course, John was referring to how the world would be a better place if there were no religion. Which is, of course, historically correct. If there had been no religion, then people wouldn't have spent hundreds of years slaughtering hundreds of millionss of their fellow human beings on the basis of their personal invisible man (or men) in the sky. Science (you know, that thing that is true and provable?) and civilization could have advanced nicely and we'd be living on Titan or some other place. But, as Carl Sagan so rightly put it, "The mystics had won."

And boo for the moron who thinks that a round-faced micro-armed pop star can go around and change a genius' lyrics to get all Christ-ey in New York City.

Worse yet, Cee Lo also thought he could slip in "Imagine all posessions" rather than "Imagine no posessions."

Who in the mortal fuck does this pissant think he is to re-write one of the most eloquent anti-capitalist anthems to mean that a society should value posessions rather than eschew them? Didn't a certain person who's "religion is true" value poverty? Didn't that certain person's father suggest very strongly (you know, the whole engraving it in stone thing?) that truth was one of the 10 most valuable things...EVER?

If the followers of this person and his dad and their weird friend REALLY followed him, don't you think this would be an issue for them?
