Good idea. Half asleep, I didn't assume anything malicious about a random phone call; I've been getting ones from out of the country because of my schooling at random hours because of time difference.

I realize now the importance of someone's identity on the phone - if they're not willing to just give it to you, it's probably not worth your time.

Took this advice especially. Giving myself the chance to go out and see an event I wouldn't normally be interested in. Any further calls are to be ignored. Your situation sounds so much worse, I hope you're handling it well, because I can imagine that it would be very stressful.

I'm sure he knows where I live and where I work. If it really was just a random creepy call, they wouldn't know either of those things, as I was very short in my responses (work was just work and parents were just parents, no specific times or places).

Were it my ex, nothing happened today at work. I've been around people I know and made sure they knew of my situation all day. I've also been making plans for the night that will get me away from my house and at events I wouldn't normally attend (roller derby in an hour :)) Really hoping it was an isolated, drug-related incident.

A very similar call situation to me. I was groggy, confused, and because of school circumstances I've been getting important calls from numbers I don't know, often times from phones outside of the country. I hate to assume that it's someone I don't want to talk to when it could simply be an adviser of some sort.

So far, nothing's happened. I've spent the day with people and have been consistently letting my friends know where I'd be. My boyfriend has called twice to check-up on me.

In the past, I have been. Our relationship ended because he got violently drunk and almost hit me. We haven't communicated for 8 months.

I go back and forth on whether I'm still afraid of him. I assume time cooled him down, but as we haven't directly communicated, all of what I know comes from what I hear. I know that he's been in a downward spiral, and he was planning on purchasing a large amount of illegal drugs and partying here for tonight (he would call it 'Fear and Loathing style').

I feel that if he were sober, he wouldn't be a threat. But with a cacophony of drugs in his system, yes, I would very much avoid being around him.

I think you're right by not wanting to support her. If she really needed to raise the money for the trip, there's plenty of grants and loans that she can apply for to help her out, without placing the burden on those close to her.

That said, I think that being upset about it does more harm than good. You should let her know you support her as a person, but make it clear that you're unable to contribute financially. If she continues to pester you, make it clear that you no longer want to hear from her.

Yep! You have an otherwise lovely voice. I find that bass voices can easily get too meshed in with the piano and yours floated easily right on top.

Your German diction is very good. Especially the voiced ss and t. A lot of singers don't spit them out, which makes the language sag a bit at the seams.

The only suggestion I'd give you is to watch out on long notes about widening the sound. You have a very focused sound most of the time, but there were a couple instances where the vowel didn't stay as pure and narrow as it should have as you held the note. Oftentimes it would transform from a nice closed vowel to an open one that didn't fit the phrase.

Thanks for the suggestion! It's hard to get the details when you're photographing yourself. I'll see if I can get some other models (or I guess, someone else) to help me with photographing. Thanks again!
