How to take a taser like a man NSFW by rainmanj9in videos

[–]kuma75 2 points3 points ago

In my defense, it is close to 100 degrees here and my three year old is ill-tempered due to allergies. YouTube experts with internet GED's in law do tend to get my Irish up regardless, however.

Yeah, what do I know? I'm just TASER certified, have used them in the field umpteen times and have actually been tased. Also, I'm a firearms instructor and certified as an expert witness in state and Federal court on use of force issues, to include less-lethal weapons such as conducted energy weapons.

But you've seen a lot of YouTube videos. I'll defer to you.

The clicking sound does, in fact, mean that the TASER doesn't have good contact with both probes. This can vary as to degree. Sometimes, there's a PARTIAL contact with the second probe, or the contact is intermittent. Still hear the clicking, but the TASER will be partially effective. This time, the second probe wasn't even in, and that was obvious by the sound AND by the complete lack of fucks given by the asshat who was stupid enough to communicate terrorist threats in front of uniformed peace officers. My guess is it deflected off the sternum or that he yanked/brushed the probe out.

This is killing me. Someone please explain to me how it is still expected for the man to move out? Is there any legal requirement or is this something almost all American men simultaneous choose as a courtesy? by SemiRemin MensRights

Worse than that, I'm afraid. All she needs to do is claim DV, at the bond hearing for the defendant a mandatory order of protection is automatically entered barring him from the residence for at least 45 days, even if she decides to petition the court later to lift it.

You could surmise this without video, just the audio track from the clip. The clicking sound you hear means that one of the probes isn't in.

Immortal Exploits for Air Force by Kim_Il-sungin Pyongyang

[–]kuma75 3 points4 points ago

Glorious People's Air Force is best Air Force. Because North Korea is BEST Korea. Who needs capitalist war machines like F-22 or F-15E when glorious General of the Party Kim Jong Un's leadership personally empowers every MiG-17 and AN-2 to fight Yankee imperialists?

Nope-human rights are the most important thing, actually. Incarceration is much more serious than a 3-4 cent per hour pay differential. Having one's kids stolen is a much more serious issue than that pay differential. Being ejected from one's home on another person's word and nothing further for at least 45 days is much more serious, as well. Why don't we hear ANY debate about those issues? Because in those cases the bias benefits women, and therefore gets Dems elected. Nothing you say will make the overblown statistic any more valid, or make any of these other issues go away.

I guess, like most of the radical feminist 'data' in circulation, that the problem is ridiculously overblown. When data is that badly exaggerated, I don't think it's a mistake to refer to the data as false. She presented the tired old '77 cent' statistic that has been disproven time and time again-so she was wrong. She can continue to be your hero if it suits you, you can continue to assert that she was factually accurate-but she was not.

I'll bet you'll tell us next about the 'statistic' that 30% of all ER visits by females are caused by intimate partner violence, right? (Psst...according to CDC, in 2007, those injuries actually accounted for 0.02% of all visits...)

Is the 3-4 cent an hour difference a problem? Yes. Does it pale in comparison to the bias in family courts, the difference between genders relative to workplace injury and death, and the staggering difference in incarceration rates between genders? Yes, yes it surely does-and I don't hear anything from the feminist camp about those issues.

You mean she was actually right when she asserted that women make 77 cents for every dollar men make, when the source you JUST provided indicates an actual pay gap of 4-5 cents? Try again...

Rachel Maddow Makes History and Triumphs over the War On Women by btrflyin politics

[–]kuma75 0 points1 point ago

Yep, and when you figure all of those factors into your math, as you suggest, the actual wage difference comes out to about 3-4 cents. Of course, honest math invalidates the 'patriarchy is everywhere kill all the menz' argument...

Rachel Maddow Makes History and Triumphs over the War On Women by btrflyin politics

No, he was being dismissive not because of gender, but because she was factually wrong. Period. Of course, if you believe in a mythical patriarchy that oppresses women at every turn and forces them into some fantastical 'rape culture', then you're likely to see gender discrimination everywhere.

Yes, quite the win-except that she was factually incorrect and then stooped to a subtle suggestion of sexism on the part of Alex when she accused him of being 'condescending'. Nope, you're just wrong-and saying so isn't at all condescending. Allowing someone to spew erroneous vitriol is actually condescending-correcting a peer is not.

dude simply runs away after being tazed on the ground by two cops. by Beartiein videos

[–]kuma75 12 points13 points ago

Couple things, not to interrupt the circle jerk:

1: He didn't 'run away after being tased'. He ran away after being drive stunned, totally different experience. Drive stun is designed to produce compliance due to pain. TASERs are most effective when they're used to cause neuromuscular incapacitation-i.e., when the probes make contact with the person being tased. Wasn't the case here, which is why he was able to just hoof it away.

2: In the US, a warrant is a command from the court to compel officers to cause the subject of the warrant to appear. The 'charge', at least in this state, is failure to appear, comply, or pay-but there's no legal requirement to inform the fella of the reason for the warrant, just that it exists.

Video and audio from the shooting recorded by the police officer’s dash-cam by oxgonin videos

I see-so he MAY have committed a wholly separate criminal offense. Tell me, is the penalty for that offense that an officer shows up, at random, at your home and kills your dog? It is Texas, after all-but if that's NOT the penalty for the offense the dog owner was ACCUSED of, it's wholly irrelevant.

No they sure aren't. I'm tempted not to feed obvious troll, who is obvious-but the fact that you've tried to besmirch our social movement with your nonsense requires a response. Seek help if you're not trolling, if you are, feel free to fuck yourself.

If a dad raises a kid there is no reason why they shouldn't get the same support that a mom raising a kid would get if nothing else than because one parent is doing all the goddamned work.

You would think, wouldn't you? However, that is not how this system works. IV-D courts provide a substantial incentive for shitty, unfit moms to take their their kids-because then they get a paycheck and public assistance.

It's probably not because you're male, but because you're not broke ass poor. Different problem entirely.

Nope, they are convergent problems. Try again. There are many programs that ONLY serve single moms. That's a fact. You have no knowledge on which to base your statements. Try again.

You fucked a lousy woman and now you've started your own crusade.

Yep-against a biased (again, that's according to the US Supreme Court) court system that rewards abysmal behavior with financial rewards. I would have opposed Plessy v. Ferguesson, too. Separate is not equal.

I'm not so surprised, actually, though I thank you for your kind words. Poor men involved in the child support system are the very last group in our society that it's perfectly acceptable to discriminate against. That's reflected in this thread.

Which would make sense if the law (PRWORA) didn't also mandate the establishment of the courts (IV-D) in question. They are inexorably linked. The law was set up specifically to encourage the bias in the IV-D courts, it's not accidental.

Bullshit. It didn't 'disproportionately hit more men', it targets almost EXCLUSIVELY (84%...) men. Mom is never oredered to pay CS, because if she is, she dashes off to family court, gets custody of the kids, and makes dad pay-no matter what an unfit piece of shit she is. If I went after my ex for CS, she'd immediately go to the family court and try to get custody-and she'd likely win, since my state favors women in these cases like you wouldn't believe. The inequities in this system can't be dismissed as easily as you're trying to do.

You're right. I'm not currently raising my youngest daughter by myself while her mom, who pays NO child support, wanders around the state doing oxy's and searching for cock. I have no idea what it's like to have to work two jobs, search for child care I can't fucking afford, and cover tens of thousands of dollars of debt for checks passed to landlords, check cashing places, utility companies, etc that were written on closed accounts. I have absolutely no idea what it's like to be in that circumstance and to hear that all of the social programs, free legal aid, housing assistance and the like aren't available to me because I'm male, and the assumption is that I should be able to print fucking money with my male penis to take care of these needs.

Boo hoo? Fuck you. Twice. I am a great SINGLE dad to the one child the state allows me to actually parent. Fuck you very much for playing the victim card. Your dad was a shitbag? Sorry to hear it. Now quit punishing ALL men because YOUR mom fucked a lousy one.

Nope-but if people are willing to tolerate that injustice, it's only fair that we are all subject to it. I'm in full support of using the same draconian measures currently used against poor men on a much broader scale because of the apathy of the general population regarding treatment of men in our society. If it's good enough justice/due process for men, then it's good enough for everyone.

Yep-sometimes, of dad's willfull failure to pay support, though given the intricate and well-funded enforcement infrastructure, that's not likely the case. On the other hand, they can also be the victims of mom's vindictiveness and use of an inherently biased court system (that's not my opinion, the US Supreme Court agrees with that characterization, but they say it's just fine) to exact the most vicious form of revenge possible on dad. She removes his ability to see his children due to POVERTY. Often, it's poverty she inflicts using that enforcement apparatus discussed above. You have a personal bias regarding CS cases. So do I. I can tell you that your simplistic view of this issue serves no one at all.
