I just use it less. I cranked her up today and there was a slight droop in the ignition.

LPT: Never tell anyone that you have a job interview. by sports2012in LifeProTips

I ran it by him and he encouraged it...and with the enthusiasm in which he talked to me about the new life I was going to lead!

But yea, I've known very well about not doing that and i still fell or it. My fault. Jesus.

Fuck, I wish I had read this a few weeks ago. I fell into this exact trap.

I've been working as a gardener for the last year and a half. A client approached me to be his in-house property manager since I had the landscaping experience plus yachting background to take care of his boat. Perfect, exactly what I've been looking for. We speak the same foreign languages, carry the same passports. He has a passion for old motorcycles, sweet I own a vintage myself. I give my two weeks notice. He goes out of town...for a month. I'm left hanging but it's all good cause I needed a little break. Comes back, requests a meeting to talk about it some more. I'm feeling confident so I finally start telling people other than my gf and close advisors on the matter. We have another meeting a week later regarding a company car and other benefits. Now I'm really sure about it so I finally let my friends in on who this lucky employer is going to be. High fives all around.

I got a text yesterday from the fucker saying yea, he's not planning on sticking around here for the long run so it'll be better not to get involved with a property manager anymore.

Now I'm broke and unemployed.

Back to square one.

/r/AskCulinary, what are some of your little magic cooking tips that ensure your food is awesome? by SpaghettiSaurusNecksin AskCulinary

It's common practice to finish the rice with different textures. The burnt part should only be as thick as a single grain.

I like to make Paellas. It's not until the first moment I smell burnt that I know it's ready. Look up socarret.

Drive or ride your bike to the key Biscayne bridge. You can walk, jog, or run it. Once or twice...more?

Now if I can only follow my own advice.

Where did you move from?

I've never run with them but a buddy does and he was all about it. You get to show all the lazy bar patrons how fit you guys are while they sit and ponder how unfit they themselves are.

There should be some contact info somewhere if you look it up online.

And you didn't even need your passport.

The majority of Miamians use the Rickenbacker Causeway (Key Biscayne) for training/exercising, whether it be swimming, biking or running.

Get over there and with a little time you'll figure out a way to run with a partner/group.

As for the mountain climbing, I'm pretty sure there's only one place and it's out west (Kendall?). I don't know the name.

I live in south Florida and our bouganvillas only flower in the winter (dry season). You'll also find them flowering the most when in full sun. In conclusion: little water, max sun.

My boss wants to buy me an all-around utility truck. It needs to be rather compact so I'm narrowing it down to a new model Tacoma. I need suggestions on how to have it set up as best as possible coming out of the dealer. Ideas? by keyambin 4x4

You can always say you have a drug test coming up. No one will insist that hard that they want you to risk your job.

Hopefully you're employed.

I just got a job as a dishwasher. How can I use that foot in the door to become a chef? by Pudiein AskCulinary

I once heard restaurants have the highest turn over rates than any other job meaning that the staff come and go. No doubt that there will be an opening.

In the mean time look through cook books, not necessarily at the recipes but the glossaries. Familiarize yourself with kitchen processes and techniques and the differences between each.

Also learn about knives and each of their functions in the kitchen. There are numerous videos on YouTube. Practice chopping/slicing carrots and cucumbers at home. If you can chop fast you're money.

If you cut yourself learn from your mistake.

I will never use a mandolin without the protector ever again since the day I sliced two finger tips.

One of your first jobs will be to peel a shit ton of potatoes and chop vegetables. If you can do that efficiently you are well on your way.

I only had $4,000 budget. I found a 1976 BMW R90 before a car so I bought it. Hasn't failed me yet.

side note, I borrow a car from a friend or parent if I know I'll need one.

French snow resorts by youngbloodsin snowboarding

Alp skiing in general takes place on glaciers or above the tree line. That means it's a lot more difficult to see while skiing when it's snowing. I managed to get lost on my first ski run of the trip while skiing in Tignes. I recovered but worth keeping in mind.

If it's only a week trip I wouldn't worry too much about the vastness of the ski resorts. Tignes for example, is split in three sections plus an additional pass can be bought ($$$) that lets you connect to Val d'Isere. I had plenty of area to ski in one or two of the sections during my stay.

If you like park skiing I would recommend La Cluzas. It's one of the closest to Geneva and home to Candide Thovex. Check him out.
