I've loved the car. It's got the interior the WRX lacked, and it's stable, AWD, and fun enough to put a smile on my face while I'm commuting. Mine is 1.8t with the sports kit (lower, stiffer suspension).

I'd definitely consider another Audi when it comes time for a new car.

Also, do you know of an auto crossing club around here? I hate DC SCCA events 'cause they're too big and pretentious. Philly SCCA was shoo'd from Aberdeen years ago. I've seen Corvette guys auto crossing by Lincoln Tech off Snowden, but I haven't seen anyone else.

Every time I think about quitting my job, I read something like this and remember how good I have it. My company isn't a technology company, but they really understand the value we provide, and trust us when we propose a solution. We get training. We're recognized when shit isn't broken (admittedly, we're recognized more when shit is broken, but that's to be expected). We're seen as trusted advisors regarding technology as a whole, and we manage our own vendors. It's a good thing.

I'll start:

My wife and I moved to Columbia in November, from Baltimore. We bought our house in August, but did some pretty significant renovations before moving in. I work in Baltimore, she works in DC, so we picked up and moved out to the 'burbs. I'm a big O's fan. You can catch me in /r/orioles during most games, and I'm a network engineer.

I spend a lot of time cooking, running, and climbing. I'm at EarthTreks several times per week, and outside when I can. I'm still adjusting to suburban life, finding the good hole-in-the-wall restaurants, booze stores, and places to get good stuff to cook with. Some stuff bugs the hell out of me around here, but it's nice not to see all the vacant houses and trash in the streets.

Getting rid of Tom Kiefaber and putting the guys who run the Charles in charge of that place was the best move the city could have done. It would be an incredible shame to lose that theater.
