Why!!! by AguywithLegsin WTF

[–]katarokkar 0 points1 point ago

While I would usually gripe about there being no question mark at the end of a "Why", the context of the "Why" is the kind when you yell it at someone's face. So therefore the title of this post is accurate.

What's the biggest non-sexual benefit of having a girlfriend/boyfriend? by littlebalooneyin AskReddit

[–]katarokkar 5 points6 points ago

  • There's nothing like showing someone one of your favorite movies for the first time. My girl hasn't seen a fraction of what I have. SCORE!
  • Cooking. I rarely cook for myself and I love to cook. But now I have someone to experiment on. (not sure if this is good or bad though)
  • She has a three legged cat that looks like Ron Swanson. We're moving in together. Now I have a three legged cat that looks like Ron Swanson.
  • Someone to call you on your shit when you need it. I think I need it a lot.
  • Just her presence. Having her around is like having your weirdest, funniest, best friend around all the time. I got lucky.

Quite! I'll be permanently living in/around Portsmouth on July 2nd though. But I'll try organizing something when I get settled.

It'll involve beer, laughing, BBQ, and beer.

All kidding aside, my "happiest movies" are the ones where I feel really good after it's over. The Muppets had me smiling throughout the whole thing but the character progressions in Happy-Go-Lucky, Amélie, and Schultze Gets the Blues made me feel warm and fuzzy. Also the end of Little Miss Sunshine always makes me happy...

I'm curious of the camera settings for these to happen. Obviously layered but...wow, nicely done.

Listen to Kurt Braunohler's story about him and his girlfriend after they had been together for thirteen years, and they were only 30.

Might give you some perspective.

What is your favorite John McClane quote/line? by deathfromabove1251in movies

[–]katarokkar 6 points7 points ago

Other than the obvious "Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker."

Die Hard (1988) - "Welcome to the party, pal."

Die Hard 2 (1990) - "Hey, Carmine, let me ask you something. What sets off the metal detectors first? The lead in your ass or the shit in your brains?"

Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995) - "Yeah, I got a deal for you. Crawl out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass."

Live Free or Die Hard (2007) - Matt Farrell: "You just killed a helicopter with a car!" John McClane: "I was out of bullets."

YES! That scene where she's playing the game around the end with the kids. Still can't shake it from my mind.
