You bring up a good point, but I don't think we'd ever see the true accounting figures. So, with that- what is better? No building or investing in anything or trying to build something world class and getting a great super bowl? I don't know the answer myself, but I tend to lean towards taking a chance and bringing the city to an international spotlight vs. well nothing.

Can you provide the names of the places that will let you work/volunteer or at least the city? I've done a lot of research and the signal to noise ratio is crazy. Right now I'm looking at Puerto Maldonado, but it seems as if you have to plan/reserve time and can't just show up and shotgun it.

Guns are always going to be there- right or wrong. Create some laws/regulations to deal with it and things will be better. If you try to ignore it or prohibit it things will just be worse.

And there will be another Super Bowl in the next decade. Also, it was huge for conventions, which is the real bread and butter for Indy. All in all an outright success. But I do feel like a lot of it was luck!

Exactly, reading the Vice guy's article shows that clearly Woody was out of the loop and basically got stuck in the middle of a catastrophe. His PR people set up the AMA as an actual promo interview in between other reporters. They're the idiots. Hopefully, he fires them. I bet he is actually a cool guy if given the right circumstances.

Honestly, Im waiting for a good 5-6 episodes and then I will marathon them. This isnt the type of show you can watch here and there or have on in the background and get it. Ill probably have to watch each episode twice just to get it. Much less truly appreciate it. Thats the way I was with Sopranos Wire Band of Brothers etc.

The company itself is struggling and the future doesn't look good. I used to be an investor and kept track of their progress. If anything they need to continue to move jobs out of the country and shut down current locations/reduce workforce. This doesn't make me happy, I'm just saying that from a purely business-standpoint. Personal experience: they have had massive layoffs and closures that have changed the lives of people I know. Also, if you want to progress in the company they REQUIRE you to move around and work in different cities/locations/countries. So be prepared to be uprooted like an Army brat and be transferred, etc... The one manufacturing engineer I know that works there saw 90% of her staff laid off. She kept her job, but is iffy on staying there. It had a really good reputation, but I would say the future is really sketchy. Have you thought about smaller/start-up companies?
