No matter how you do it, SharePoint will be 100x better than file shares for this. Don't be fooled, Microsoft never intended SharePoint to replace file shares but for what you are asking, yes, SharePoint.

You will have the ability to:

  • Have document versions
  • Check-in/out documents as they are worked on
  • Setup work-flows and approvals
  • Simultaneously work on documents/spreadsheets
  • Create sites around subject matter (Teams, projects, processes..)

I hope this doesn't come off Hitler "like" but if I had to and only if I had to. I would have everyone tested for genetic diseases and deadly viruses(like AIDS) and take them out of the population.

This mostly worked but when the phone is in standby and the call comes through the led doesn't come on. When the phone is on it flashes as normal and cuts off as normal. Do you have this issue?
