"An early statement by Young about a priesthood ban in the LDS Church was made on February 13, 1849. The statement — which refers to the Curse of Cain as the reason for the policy — was given in response to the question, "What chance is there for the redemption of the Negro?" Young responded, "The Lord had cursed Cain's seed with blackness and prohibited them the Priesthood."[5]"

"Not only was Cain called upon to suffer, but because of his wickedness he became the father of an inferior race" (p. 101).

"Millions of souls have come into this world cursed with black skin and have been denied the privilege of Priesthood and the fulness of the blessings of the Gospel. These are the descendants of Cain" (p. 101)."

It's bizarre to me that Black Americans would put up with that shit, and really, the Bible itself. Did they not read it?
