TROPHY CASE

Who Needs Guided Shells by ninjapenguin12in battlefield3

[–]jcready 1 point2 points ago

I had a game like that last night on Caspian Border. I was with all randoms, but both of my squad mates (both engineers) stayed with me inside the tank for almost the entire round. One as the machine gunner and the other inside the CITV station.

I had reactive armor, thermal optics, and the guided shell equipped. I was credited with 13 vehicle destroys and we only drove a total of two different tanks. Great game.

But they're visibly off by a few centimeters at only 5m.

Is the 2-round burst on the AN-94 this inaccurate for others? I'm on PS3. (Holo + Foregrip + Heavy Barrel) by jcreadyin battlefield3

I figured I did it slow enough, maybe I'll try to do it again tomorrow.

That's like saying you've never played Conquest… or that you didn't know there were vehicles.

That would explain a lot.

I would shoot, move to the right a little, repeat until the clip was empty. I saw 2 bullet holes about half the time, the other half were single (and much larger) bullet holes.

This was an hour ago. PS3, Official DICE Hardcore CQ server, Grande Bazaar, RU spawn.

And because (at least with heavy barrel) both bullets land on exactly the same point...

That isn't true at all. I just tested it again to be sure.

AN-94 + Heavy Barrel + Forgrip.
Aimed at a wall from <5 meters.
Squeezed the trigger once.

Two distinct bullet holes in the wall. Meaning not only are the bullets not travelling the same path, they are off by a number of centimeters from less than 5m away.

So about that PSN rebranding to SEN... by xircsoin PS3

[–]jcready -2 points-1 points ago

Sony is kidding themselves if they think anyone but them is going to call it anything but PSN.

Like how Marlboro was forced to change "Marlboro Lites" to "Marlboro Gold" because someone decided that "Lites" was deceiving consumers into thinking it was safer. No one asks for "Golds" at the counter. It's always "Marlboro Lites."

Yeah, that is probably the greatest Battlefield moment ever recorded (LoopZook). But the one I posted is definitely the greatest Battlefield 3 moment I've ever seen ;)

The AN-94 has one of the lowest RPM, more spread than other assault rifles, average reload time, and the most recoil.

And for some reason it only has the same max damage output as every other assault rifle: 25.

I'm not saying it needs to go to a three-shot kill (35hp), but if they just buffed it to 30hp it would at least give you the advantage if the enemy was already injured.

Considering you have ZERO M-COM Defender ribbons I'm curious as to why you're even commenting on a PS3 patch discussion?

Um... Not Flag defender/attacker. This is talking about M-COM Defender/Attacker

Nothing will beat the "Eject, look down, fire unguided SMAW RPG, kill enemy jet following you, and finally get back into your jet and fly away."

Edit: correction, video.

The requirements are probably the same. It's just how they define a "defend" that probably changed.

Previously you had to kill the enemy while they were actively arming. And since it only takes about 2 seconds to arm an M-COM, you had to kill them within those 2 seconds. Their proximity to the M-COM doesn't matter, only that they're pressing and holding the button to arm.

Yeah, but I was proud of my 30 M-COM defender ribbons. Now they mean shit.

They were probably the most difficult ribbons to get before the patch. "Defending" a single M-COM was hard enough, but to get a ribbon you needed to do it 4 times in a single round.

They nerfed the requirements for getting the M-COM Defender achievement. So now all the hard work I put into to getting ACTUAL M-COM Defends means nothing.
