[Build ready]Will this do to try Hackintosh ? by DannyBikerin hackintosh

[–]jaspreets 0 points1 point ago

Ivy Bridge isn't officially supported so things like sleep and power management aren't supported. The latest Chimera does support Ivy Bridge, but it's a custom kernel, so, if stability is main point of your build... I'd stick with Sandy Bridge. Also, I have my i2600K pushed to 4.9Ghz stable dual boot and my system benches 90% of a similar Ivy Bridge system.

On desktops, I would wait.

I know it's a bit late, but just wanted to thank you for your service to our great nation.

NTSF R/W on Lion. I see a Paragon tool, a Tuxera tool. Wikipedia says "Native NTFS write.. discovered OSX 10.6 & later.. not activated by default.. unstable.." by gordonmcdowellin applehelp

[–]jaspreets 1 point2 points ago

Personally... I've used both Paragon and Tuxera... there's a link somewhere comparing the two... Paragon is a POS compared to Tuxera... use the free NTFS-3G free if you don't want to pay for Tuxera... but I've never had issues with Tuxera... personally, I paid for it over 2 years ago and I've received every update for free since then and it's worked for me well in a mixed Windows / Mac environment (also used on a hackint0sh to read/write Windows drives)

Accessing Transmission from my iPhone remotely. by i_justwanna_knowwwin applehelp

[–]jaspreets -1 points0 points ago

I'm sorry... I guess the OP doesn't know how to use Google... a little inebriated, so sorry for the frustration/sarcasm. The following were all found using Google searches.

  1. Set up Remote Management for Transmission
  2. Enable port forwarding for your particular router
  3. Set up a dynamic DNS host using either existing router management and/or desktop application.
  4. Access remote management interface
  5. Enjoy the fruits of your labor

As for gertsfert, if you were so offended by my lack of instructions, why didn't you bother posting detailed instructions?

Setup WebGUI then port forwarding on your router using a dynamic DNS service and then login remotely... do it all the time...

Question about unibeast and lion recovery partition by Jennynotin hackintosh

[–]jaspreets 0 points1 point ago

Check out http://3rr0rists.net/driver/intel-atom-kernel-for-os-x-lion-10-7-1.html but again... don't really know where else to point you or guide you from there.

Question about unibeast and lion recovery partition by Jennynotin hackintosh

[–]jaspreets 0 points1 point ago

SL might be your only option... Apple deprecated Atom support with 10.6.2, someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but, 10.6.1 will be the latest you can use. As for modified kernels, that's outside of my expertise.

Lion doesn't show up in my purchases in the App store by PoleMiXx2in applehelp

[–]jaspreets 0 points1 point ago

you can't repurchase it... even if you did... log into your Apple ID account and "report a problem" with a purchase.

If I'm correct, you purchased the Lion app from App Store, correct? and then I'm assuming you installed Lion... well, when you do this, it removes the installer from the Applications folder and you have to do one of the above steps to "redownload" (the installer file).

Please clarify your situation as how you originally got Lion on your system.

FIX: Stop using your on-board LAN, Realtek, lynx2mac, etc... go for a native solution and fix WOL, sleep issues, etc. by jaspreetsin hackintosh

[–]jaspreets[S] 1 point2 points ago

dozens, just look up any Firewire audio solution... you can easily get 24-bit/192kHz audio from M-Audio (I use an earlier version of the ProFire 610.

I haven't had any issues with onboard audio yet, but you might also want to check out the Optimized AppleHDA for Realtek ALC 888 on Lion

If it's already installed; Option-clicking on OS X Lion from Purchases and then the “Install” should fix your problem
