How old were you when you started boxing? I'm 17 and overweight and I feel that its too late to start boxing.

edit: added question mark

"I play a ton of video games; therefore, I know how to operate a real gun." What's a stupid/unfounded argument you're tired of hearing, Reddit? by thec0rinthianin AskReddit

[–]jamman751 0 points1 point ago

Reddit will probably disagree, but I think this applies to torrenting, because you are stealing a potential sale from a company that won't notice your individual act. It's true that taking a movie from Universal probably won't be felt, but when hundreds of thousands of movies are torrented, then the damage becomes felt.

I think torrenting is author of stealing that avoids the moral dilemma of actually stealing because you're not taking anything that can be physically held.

I actually noticed other Acura advertising. The one that stood out the most was when Iron Man walked by an undamaged Acura SUV in the midst of the manhattan battle.

The article said that the big box set probably won't happen because of the different distributors.

Honestly, you're now making me reconsider my guilty pleasure because everyone agrees that the Dark Knight is a great film. I changed my guilty pleasure to Xmen 3.

I'm visiting Lebanon this summer and I love it there. Its the only place I've ever been to where two lanes become four and the sidewalk is considered a valid lane in traffic.

What is your "never again" brand, item, store, or restaurant ? by radbrad7in AskReddit

[–]jamman751 2 points3 points ago

For me it used to be Circuit City. They were worse than Best Buy. I bought a PC there and there was a bumper sticker on it. When I turned it on, it asked me to log in as "Phil" and there was a password.

I bought this PC "new" and when I brought it back to them they said it was a computer error on their part and that they couldn't return it due to a policy that stated that once I used it and filled it with my stuff I couldn't return it. WTF, they said it was their fault but a policy prevented them from fixing it. They said I could sell it to them and I thought they would give me a good price for it and they manager started haggling with me. The most he was allowed to give me was 45% of the price I payed for it.

I got very very pissed, but I ended out selling it. 3 weeks later, I was at their going out of business sale and with the money from the sold computer I bought a much better PC and a whole lot of DVD's. It felt good man.

That story just made me sick of myself for shopping there (again). My dad is a small business owner and he has a hard time firing anyone because he knows its their livelihood. Businesses that do that are just cruel and they offer no opportunities for any advancement. Everyone who works there is expendable and they just don't care about their employees.

I may have went a little overboard on [P]ickups by williamspensfanin dvdcollection

[–]jamman751 1 point2 points ago

I've been going overboard as well. I only have time to watch movies on weekends and right now I have like 10 movies in my collection that I haven't seen including 2 miniseries. I've been spending a lot of money lately so I'm going to try to cut myself off until I have only 1 or 2 movies left in queue.

What company would you be happy to watch go into bankruptcy? by irishamericanin AskReddit

Honestly, I'm just waiting for the blockbuster in my area to go out of business so I can get movies for crazy cheap.

My problem with Best Buy is how they always try to force you into getting upgrades and ridiculous warranties on all products.

I will admit their sales can be awesome. During the holiday season you can pick up stuff there for a ridiculously cheap price. I got the Lord of the Rings extended edition box set for $30 when it was $72 on amazon.

I have to admit that the author had a point about the Spielberg sway with rating. I do t think it came into play with JP but it definitely did with Saving Private Ryan, which got the "masterpiece exception" from an NC-17 rating which would have killed the film because most theaters will refuse to screen it.
