They were right to kill Eclipse - it had lost it's way.

Hmm... It's a car... sure. But Carporn? I'm gonna say no.

I can't get excited about a Galant...

Installing a double wishbone suspension on a GT500. Possible/worth it? by m6hurricanein Cartalk

[–]ironpony 1 point2 points ago

You need to shop for a different car, the GT500 is not for you. Go find a '99-'04 SVT if you have to have an IRS mustang. Unless your pockets are so deep you just don't give a fuck, then, by all means, hack up a GT500.

I'm on my way to the hospital to get screened for multiple sclerosis. All I ask is that you keep me in your thoughts. I need all the good vibes I can get. by MrImSoGreatin Favors

My mother was diagnosed about 2 years or so ago. It seems people have very different levels of symptoms with MS, but she mainly has balance issues. Trouble walking on un-even surfaces has been most obvious, she can't walk down a sandy beach with out someone holding on, yet can make it across a paved parking lot pretty well. Standing for long periods is out - so she has a hard time kicking ass in the kitchen like she used to.

Consider the good vibes sent -

Good plan - resale on Wranglers has always been strong. Good Luck on deployment - Thanks for being bad-ass enough to make such a sacrifice.

Well, in that case, commence repeatedly punching yourself in the sack. The engine in the '12 is a honey. Nearly 1/3 more power AND better fuel efficiency. I love that new interior though, so much nicer than the '07-'10 JK.

I thought it was a 3.8L, but you're right, it's an awful minivan motor. The 3.7 was in the Liberty. The new Pentastar motor is a HUGE improvement.

I will say, I'd love heated leather in my 6-speed Wrangler, so I can't fault him at all for having it.

'11?!?! Why U No Wait for '12 285hp Pentastar V6? I mean, I know that new interior is pretty sweet, but that wheezy 202hp 3.8L boat anchor under hood ruins the vehicle... In my opinion... But then, I'm still rollin' the 4.0L 190hp/six speed straight six in my '05 TJ Wrangler. I heard there were some stellar deals on '11's though, hope you got one.

What makes the Ford F-150 so popular in North America? by thegraymaninthmiddlein cars

Perhaps, on an Audi or something, but a base model full size American pickup? I was suprised, these features were on the XL work base model F150. For being a stripper, it was a damn nice truck.

I picked mine up about 3 years ago, and have put about 10k on it. It's a quite the little rocketship, and I dig the recaro interior. Comfy. Mine just hit 62k miles, and it's about as mint as these get. 62k on a nine year old performance car isn't to shabby. A quick eyeballing of the SVT Focus market, and I should ask about $8500obo for it, but I'll let my pops buy it for $6000. There's an identical one to mine, a year newer, with even lower miles for $10,500. It hasn't had it's bumper drilled either, same as mine. I don't run a front plate, and so far, no cops have even raised an eyebrow. But one of the great things about the SVT, especially in silver, is it blends right into traffic... doesn't draw attention. Only car geeks notice the subtle performance cues that give it away. To everyone else, it's just another focus on the road.

Good buy, I've not seen a decent Ranchero for under $3k. I'm lookin' at '67-'72, and just haven't found the right one for me.

The '05's and newer are really fantastic vehicles. Reliable, comfortable, easy on the eyes, and very capable. I really like them.

And the newest '11 and up F150 sport some pretty sweet features, like electric power steering, capless fuel filler, the coyote 5.0L V8, and the Ecoboost V6. The '11 F150 I drove also had a cool turnsignal switch, it doesn't stay "down, or up", nor does it crunch like breaking a chicken bone with every use. It centers after use, and the light blinks until you make the turn. My first couple of turns, I acctually thought it may be broken. Then I realized, it was awesome, and I was an idiot. So nice, it's the little things that make a vehicle.

The '97-'04 F150 however are truely awful trucks. Crap interior blended with Styling by a blind man, and the earliest Triton engines ('97-'00) should be avoided like the plague.

I'm just here to say I envy your Ranchero GT.

That is all.

Yep, it was a touching moment for us all.

So, I loaned my Father my SVT Focus for a week while I used his Dodge Ram for a few chores. Not only did he not want to give it back, he informed me I'm not allowed to sell it, to anyone but him. They're addicting.

This is one of those times where my mother's voice pops in my head... If you can't say anything nice.... don't say anything at all.

Kidding, enjoy it, you can have a lot of fun with a boat like that. I used to roll a 1969 Mercury Marquis Brougham 4 door hardtop. Boat was hardly the term, more like aircraft carrier. 429ci 4bbl, C6, 9" rear, and enough room for everyone you know. It was a fun car.

Love that year Mustang.

Take it out to a park, or something and do some nicer pics. Shoot a few angles, and a decent background make any car look much better. That driveway shot makes the Mustang look sad and depressed.

When my Williams T2 knocks, it's real f'in' loud. Startles me, and I know it's coming. Made my friend's kid run out of the room first time he heard it. But I don't think it really can translate to recorded audio, it's a rather viseral sound event.

I keep thinking about turning my 6-sped '05 TJ into an AEV Brute. $9k for the conversion kit. But a '12 JK8 w/ the new pentastar v6 is damn tempting.

Buncha savages in this town ...

Sister, you said it. Fortunately I moved out of the inner SE off Morrison, which is where my vehicles were regularly ransacked, to a lovely little shack in felony flats, just south of you. A shack with a garage. A lovely locked garage. No problems since.

The broken glasses were lame, but dirty needles!? And leave a note?!?! God damn...
