I've seen some of the vid on /r/psychonaut before, but there's some more in this one which I thought you all would enjoy :)

I count about 75 PCs, so you'd probably have 2x 48 port Gigabit Ethernet switches with a fiber backbone between the two.

The PCs will plug into an ethernet wall socket, which is cabled to a few patch panels in the server cabinet. The patch panels are then connected to the 48 port switches by short cat 5e/6 cables.

Hope that's helpful!

That used to be the case a few years ago (if you mean copying hard drives/network ghosting). Your best bet nowadays would probably be Microsoft Deployment Services/SCCM.

You install it on a server, feed it a windows disc, add drivers for the machines, put in your license key, domain name etc. Then boot each PC from the network using PXE and give it a computer name. Everything else is automated.

Makes my job so much easier :)

Is it a coincidence that we have 2 eyes to perceive 3 dimensional space and are trying to understand non*duality*? by eff-snarfin Psychonaut

[–]ings0c 2 points3 points ago

Yes, that would actually be a textbook example of coincidence.

Is it safe to take an SSRI [Zoloft] and DMT? by pigincuffsin DrugNerds

[–]ings0c 4 points5 points ago

Its kinda uncharted territory. At least some of DMT's effects can be attributed to it binding to various 5HT receptors. Zoloft works on the same receptors, so it should block some of the action of DMT.

Then again I don't really know what I'm talking about and it's at best an semi-educated guess.

You probably don't want to be doing heavy psychedelics if you're in need of SSRIs anyway.

Plus I can see the uncertainty as to the combination's health implications really messing with you when your ego starts to die.

Got here after clicking on a Facebook add. What do you guys think of this? by chowder88in Psychonaut

[–]ings0c 2 points3 points ago

"Specialized techniques can modulate pineal activity, and elicit a standing wave through resonance effects that coordinate other brain centers with both chemicals and electromagnetism, resynchronize both hemispheres of the brain, and result in a chain of synergistic harmony that releases DMT, naturally and organically."

Seems legit.

You're not crazy ^ Well maybe a little, but who isn't?

I've come to the same conclusions myself over the years.

I stumbled upon this documentary the other day actually which seems to agree with what you're saying.

Have a look into buddhism; you'll find that it's very similar to the non-literal interpretation of christianity you've taken. This is quite a nice watch.

I like documentaries, can you tell? haha

What are some foolproof ways to travel on an airline with a small amount of substance for personal use? by cleverkidin DrugNerds

[–]ings0c 9 points10 points ago

Easiest way would be to just put it in a pill bottle. I'd imagine that bottled pills are rarely checked.

If you fancy a little more work then:

Get some Chocolate Eclairs. I don't know if you have these outside of the UK but i'm sure you can find something similar.

Wrap your substance of choice in cling-film until roughly the same size as an eclair, then submerge the whole thing in molten wax. After it's dried, submerge again in molten chocolate and place it back in the wrapper.

Throw a few of your 'eclairs' back in the bag with the untouched ones, and reseal the bag. Seems pretty fool-proof to me.

This is what I'm anxious about; am I really all that crazy? by arieleislittlein Anxiety

[–]ings0c 1 point2 points ago

Haha, are you me?

Sadly I don't have many answers but you can at least take solace in the fact that someone feels the same as you do :)

Just like you i'm not sure if it's a kind of cognitive bias on my part, or the world is actually getting worse. Part of me tries to rationalize it away by saying due to the advance of technology and media we are just more aware of the bad things happening around the world.

But it's hard to deny our own perceptions and the truth probably lies somewhere inbetween.

There's some truth in the saying "ignorance is bliss". While i'm not suggesting cutting yourself of from the news entirely; if you're the kind of person who lurks /r/politics or /r/athiesm it wont hurt to give them a rest for a while.

Does that say "Just now near Wigan" for anyone else? Or is it one of those advertiser tracking things?

Never thought I'd see my hometown on reddit!

A little wierd though, the text is Americanized (candy, meth) but Wigan is in the UK.
