Season Five hasn't aired here in the UK, yet. For my birthday, we ordered this from the US. It arrived today. So far; worth it. by imjonathanblakein chuck

3 discs, one with 5 episodes, another with 5 episodes, and one with 3 episodes. Special features on each but primarily on the 3rd.

Sadly I think I know what scene you mean due to some non-hidden spoilers on Reddit. Oh well!

My one criticism of the season is that it feels like because of the short season, every possible plot line the writers ever thought of is being thrown at our faces. It's not an awful thing; it makes it very action packed, but you've got Morgan is the intersect, Ellie and Devon kidnapped, Shaw is back, Jeff and Lester find Castle, Sarah has a baby (sort of), Sarah's mum appears, etc.

Shame the writers didn't get more time to give each story the attention they deserved; they all would have made great multi-episode story arcs!

LivingTV (now Sky Living) aired Series 3-4, Virgin1 before that (no longer a channel).

A channel that I don't remember the name of airs old episodes now.

Ah, that's a shame.

Still, it'll be nice to get a little closure on Chuck. No network here wants to air the fifth season, I guess there's no call for it (which is disappointing). I know I could watch the episodes online but this is better, I'm happy to pay for quality content; did for the last 4!

What movies have you seen, expecting greatness due to the trailer but left the theater disappointed? by Copernicrunkin movies

Due Date.

Everything funny was in the trailer. The rest just didn't mesh like I'd so hoped it would.

Where do you think the world we be 10 years from now? (Not literally, of course).

Hey Louis, I'm 16 and a huge fan from the UK. Would you ever wish to gain a bigger British following?

Also, does your show get syndicated to the UK? Thanks for the jokes!

Nor was there a movie called the Wedding Bride about Jed Mosly. It's a fictional show, fiction be fiction. :)

Yes, I think you've hit the nailed on the head. I feel uncomfortable as a viewer watching main characters like Andy being fired by new Spade or even newer Tate. We're being forced to watch unlikable characters "hurt" (used loosely) the ones we've grown attached to, so I hope this storyline gets resolved soon.

Ah, to each their own. I think, toned down, she works well.

Again, another possible reason. But if you're not bringing in new characters, you're gonna hit a wall eventually. You had Andy and Karen coming in during Series 3, Holly and Erin in Series 5, David Wallace in there somewhere, Kathy Bates and Gabe in Series 6, etc. etc. etc. New characters have to happen, in every show, but Catherine Tate's and David Spade's characters just seem fake in a way that, to me, they aren't relatable, which I think was one of the key attractions from the original Office; it was a regular play with regular characters. I hope they can either tame Tate and Spade's characters, or perhaps move them on, because they're both fine actors, and the show usually has better writing. I only hope for the best for The Office.

EDIT: I'm actually watching the most recent episode now. Tate works well toned down, when she seems normal. Extroverted Nellie is too much.

Don't get me wrong; I'm a British fan of the Office. I actually like Catherine Tate's stuff usually, but the character she plays on the show just doesn't appeal to me.

This is also true but at least when they knew they messed up, they held their hands up and ended it.

Is it because I'm British or stupid that I thought that word came from the brand?

I didn't mind Spader's guest role at the end of Series 7 but that should have been it. As for Nellie, as an actress I adore Catherine Tate, but as Nellie, I can't bare to watch her character ruin the show.

What I loved about Series 1 through 6 was the show seemed honest. It consisted of believable characters in real situations, made funny by an awesome writing staff. Now, Nellie's character seems unbearably fake. She's annoying, and doesn't seem like anyone I've ever met or could imagine meeting; she's clearly a "made-for-comedy" character, even though she's not that funny. I also hate the augmented dumbing down of Erin.

I just wish they'd have kept on Kathy Bates. The unbelievable plot like that James just took the job from her was an unreasonable segue into his role. I hate to say it, as I love the show so much, but it's Scrubs déjà vu. Loved the show, but it went down hill when a main cast member(s) left. At least it knew when to quit. Perhaps the Office should be euthanised. That doesn't mean I wouldn't want a great finale, maybe even a movie, but without Michael Scott, Dunder Mifflin will enter recession.

EDIT: Spelling.
