I used to play Halo with a guy who spelled his name exactly like yours and was a Tribes fanatic...

Is that you?

The "forever alone" as a psychological diagnosis - The excessive use of video games and online porn is creating a generation of risk-adverse guys who are unable (and unwilling) to navigate the complexities and risks inherent to real-life relationships, school and employment. by Loyoverin TrueReddit

renowned - Adjective: Known or talked about by many people; famous.

There are maybe 5 Psychology experiments that people outside of psychology even know about, and the Stanford Prison Experiment is absolutely one of them.

renowned = famous

Stanford Prison Experiment = one of the most renowned psychological experiments (right up there with Pavlov's dogs, Harlow's monkeys, and Little Albert)

Zimbardo = famous

If you were put in charge of trimming Earth's human population down to 3 billion or so, what would your criteria be for who stays and who goes? by Clayburnin AskReddit

I would put forward that while eugenics has been implemented in drastically unscientific ways, the science behind it is the same science we use every day when breeding animals and plants...

My 2 cents: Android is in dire need of a standardized connector/protocols like the iPhone and iPod have. by SgtBaxterin Android

[–]imatworkprobably 2 points3 points ago

The fact that it requires an HDMI/MHL connector for android indicates that the radio requires the phone to have a specific type of hardware "Video Out" capability, that the iPhone 4/4S/Touch 4 all have, and that the specific Android phones that work with the App Radio have as well. This is a hardware-based issue.

The fact that some of the apps don't work properly regardless has absolutely nothing to do with the connector. Thats entirely software, and the fault probably lies with Pioneer not investing any money in what is no doubt a significantly smaller install base (iPhone 4/4S users vs. Android users who have HDMI-out capable phones). This is a software-based issue.

Neither of which has anything to do with the connector.

Interesting uses for iPads at work? by milacekraisein sysadmin

There are a bunch.... Cloud On, for example, is an entire virtualized Office suite (so you get all the functions of desktop Office), works pretty damn well....

Just an iPad...

They'd bring the iPad along anyways as they are quite useful for the field we work in (media production/distribution - we have our own iOS apps and appear in other apps), being able to eliminate a laptop for simple, on the fly edits to documents is a good thing...

Not to mention if they need a full desktop, they can remote in to a full Windows desktop without any problem at all from the iPad, or take a travel laptop, which is an ultrabook...

You issue has very little to do with the physical connector and a lot to do with specific hardware/software requirements for the Pioneer Radio itself...

Seems like a legitimate case for a business purchase if you are going to be supporting them?

Thats how I got mine, at least...

For people who have explicitly requested to reduce the number of devices that they take with them while traveling, an iPad does just fine...

For employees who want to be able to view/edit Office docs on the go:

DropBox set up with DropBox Folder Sync (Windows) / MacDropAny (OSX) to sync MyDocs (which is really a redirect to our file server).

This lets them use their iPad Office editor of choice to work on anything they would like.

Reportedly, the orderly Germans were so impressed that Alkemade had bailed out without a parachute and lived that they gave him a certificate testifying to the fact.

That's hilarious
