Oh, not sure. Most likely a pick.

Edmonton? Rumor has it they want Murray. D is their biggest need.

They are the ones that have to decide how much they want to gamble right now.

For 1 spot? Not likely. Not if you want Murray anyway. When Columbus and Florida swapped in 2002 all it cost was giving Florida the option to swap again in 2003. And that was 4th to 1st.

I believe Vinny and Dorse live here. Nash's home is here but I think he spends the summers in London or travelling.

The team was doing a promotional thing on the plaza in front of the arena from 12-1 where you could get Umby's autograph. After getting him to autograph a couple things we all went to the practice rink to just work on skating a bit when Umby showed up a little after 1. He hung out for about 15 minutes or so and talked hockey. Gave us some skating & conditioning tips as well as talked playoffs and next season. Was a great time.

Blue Jackets drop 'interim' tag from Todd Richards title, agree to 2 year contract by iezugodin BlueJackets

[–]iezugod[S] 6 points7 points ago

Of course there are 8-10 people interested in the job. Doesn't mean they are qualified. I'm sure the majority of those 8-10 are AHL or even lower level coaches. After the failed Scott Arniel experiment they needed some consistency for a change, which Richards can provide. They basically said Todd was their leading candidate unless someone clearly better came along (see: fired after playoff series loss). Unfortunately, there were no firings and there's not really any top tier coaching candidates available. Why go through the song and dance of interviewing a bunch of inexperienced coaches if you know you're not going to hire them? It's not like was turning down 8-10 proven NHL coaches? I think the Scott Howson haters are focusing on this one point to add it to their list of reasons why he should be fired.

It's only 6" high on the sides, shouldn't take too long to fill it.

The yard is also fenced in, the deer could get in if they wanted to but shouldn't be in issue

Our dog is incredibly lazy, the fence should hopefully sufficient.

Totally forgot about that, definitely going to do that now.

It's only 3' across and the dirt will be up near the level of the side boards so it'll only be 12'' below the top. Shouldn't be too hard. The last one I built was a little bigger (12'x4') so I included a door in that one

Haha, yeah. Regretting the beers while working out in the sun now. Significant headache.

I just looked it up most things I could find say the newer pressure treated woods are OK. Maybe I'll put something around them to separate them from the soil before I fill it though, just in case.

It's two pieces. I could have done one but the roll height is 48" and I only needed 15" for this. Dimensions are 6'x3' so I just rolled out a little over 9' worth and cut two 15" tall strips. They are stapled on.

Yeah, I just don't want to make it easy for them. It's mostly for the dog and the rabbits though.

I've still got to pull out the grass, level it, fill it and put in the plants. Construction went from a spur of the moment idea to complete in just under 4 hours. Cost: $60. The mesh fencing is to keep our dog and the wild rodents out.
