Sorry for the long read, but this question brought back a memory.

So, I didn't really get dumped, but I did get stood up.

I worked with a girl named Nikki. She was a waitress, I was the kitchen manager. We had worked together for about two years and had always flirted and joked and whatnot. One night there were a few local bands playing at a small venue in the neighboring city. I had planned on going with a few buddies, but they all bailed earlier that day. Being the non-forever aloner that I am, I asked Nikki if she would like to go with me. She said yes, no hesitation, straight to the point. I told her I brought clothes to change into, but I would be more than happy to take her to her house to change and then we could go from there. She agreed that it was a good idea.

Great!

A couple hours later Nikki starts acting strange. Ignoring my jokes, having other waitresses run her food to table, just avoiding me altogether. I asked her friend, another waitress if she was okay. She told me that, "Nikki has a headache, so she is just going to go home, wash her hair and go to bed."

Fucking awesome, she couldn't even think of a better excuse.

Whatever, fuck it, I'm going to go anyway. I was bound to see someone I knew well enough to hang out for a couple hours. So it's showtime. I get to the venue, pay to get in and start mingling around trying to find some friends. After about five minutes, low and behold, Nikki is there. Not only did she give me a lame excuse, but she stood me up to go to the same place I had asked her to.

Turns out she is with one of my really good friends, who I didn't even know was in town. I told him what she did to me, he told her to fuck off and we ditched the show. Ended up going to a bar, getting tipsy and raw-dogging some randoms.

TL;DR: Got stood up, she used a terrible excuse. She turned out to be at the place with a friend. Told her to fuck off, got laid by a hot girl I met at the bar.
