And you're right it does say alot more about fergie and the way he leads a team then it does about city. And unforgettably I have the same feeling as you do about him retiring, but we must not forget we are united after all.

No they haven't. They've been relegated all the way to 3rd division and still brought 30 k fans to their pitch. Before the oil money, they had a great group of loyal fans, who were always the second team in Manchester.

But that could have to any team in the EPL, look at Chelsea ? did they buy a CL title ?

Also you have already made the assumption that City is now going to dominate the EPL, given their near nuclear melt down mid season and the combination of volatility players , The team could easily exploded, or go on and dominate the CL, and EPL.

I find it immature to complain about the fortunes of others. The world is driven around money, and entertainment. which is the soul reason why soccer is broadcasted, followed and obsessed over. It is only logically that the major leagues, That do have a business model.

If what you are really after is financial fair play, then you would almost have to complete change the way soccer is run. and use the NFL model which is highly competitive, and and very unique, way to operate

Spending doesn't always guarantee winning , look at the top spending MLB teams and there current standings

Its also unfair to penalize teams that have the money to spend, this is after all a business and if the only of Owner of that that business is ok with taking a loss of that magnitude, then who are we to say it is wrong ? after all it isn't our money to lose.

Do I agree that, money and buying great players helps ?, no shit. But it also take the right players, and mangers, and given city's history, good for them, they have the money to spend these days.
