My girlfriend and I tubed from Hill Of Life to Twin Falls last week and saw some slacklining going on at Sculpture Falls. Great times!

This was the first time I had tried it. Great to compare it side by side with the Austin Beerworks Pearl Snap Pils. Two totally different personalities and both delicious!

The Hops & Grain Pale Dog is quickly becoming my favorite, go-to canned beer option.

It was a great day! I've never been to Pedernales Falls with so much water (and great beer) flowing.

Awesome! Our Texas State Paleontology class went to a few different areas around Austin to check out the fossils. Saw a few of these around the Shoal Creek area.

Great news, although I expect there to be many angry comments from recent transplants to the Barton Hills neighborhood complaining about it.

Glasses, how much do they matter? by abcdefghihelloin beer

If you are looking to start a collection you can get a Chimay chalice in the Chimay 3 pack they sell at Costco for around 12 bucks. This glass will be great for Dubbels and Quads. Duvel is also available in three packs with the classic Duvel glass (a must have!) and will be a great go to glass for everything from golden ales to winter warmers. I'd also recommend a decent sized snifter (easily available) for more aromatic brews or beers that taste better as they warm up like Russian Imperials or Barleywines. With those three you should be well on your way to a decent collection! You can also check out thrift stores if you want to save some money. I have found a number of glasses that way and it never hurts to have doubles on hand when sharing a great beer with company.

ISO: New Glarus Barley Wine FT: Anything distributed through Texas by hyperspectralin beertrade

Jester King is great. There are even some bottles of "Thrash Metal" out and about that I could pick up. They also make the infamous "Black Metal", along with "Wytchmaker". We also have Austin Beerworks, a new brewery that does canned beer, Southern Star, Rhar & Sons, and a little brewery in San Marcos called Darkside Fermentation. This weekend will be the last time those are available for a while though. As far as non-Texan beers, there are plenty of great Colorado brews that come through here, if you don't have distribution as well as some California classics. I'd be happy to track down anything your interested in.
