I'm not sure how much more evidence you need. There is a common sense aspect to this. You can't punch that many holes in the ground, bust up rock formations, and not expect a loss of stability. I have yet to hear any authority address this issue of the cumulative effect of friggity fracking.
It's interesting you mention the economic force behind the industry. This is the same industry spending a ton of money to obfuscate the facts. The industry employs most of my family, including far extended family, and has for generations. This industry is amount making the green, as fast as they can before bust. Boom, bust, boom, bust. That is the reality of this industry. There is gross mismanagement and zero long-term strategy. Most everyone is skimming off some for themselves. There is so much influx of cash and so little regulation, it's every man for himself. Go as hard and as fast as you can. This industry will do nothing for you when you're home is sliding into a giant sinkhole or who knows really. We're in uncharted territory. Not to mention the toxic effects on the water table. It's interesting some of the big players in the industry are also the same ones that made a move to buy up as many water rights as they could. Wonder what the correlation is there?
Time for a new perspective. Time for people to step out from under their binding, archaic religion and patterns of their parent's design and think for themselves and future generations. Oklahoma needs to progress and evolve to survive.
How much could we stand to gain from new economic ventures? Wind energy? Legalization? Who's with me?!!

I woke up to a fracquake this morning. When is there going to be a real discussion about the cumulative effects of "fracking"? There are over 450,000 wells in various stages of completion in Oklahoma. Is hot goo going to flow down Sheridan before we wake up?
