I'd love to hear the people who describe her as a patriotic "job creator" now.

I'm confused, does he think he and his wife make better parents than Penny and her partner, or doesn't he? He gives 2 answers here.

Question about using dual passports by matholioin australia

[–]hippity_dippity123 -1 points0 points ago

Damn. I have terrible gastritis/stomach ulcer/whatever caused by h. pylori. Unable to eat for 6 straight days, constant nausea, and today a lot of pain. The treatment was awful. My GP told me to go to the hospital because I was faint, unable to think straight, losing my breath. I was in an emergency room bed for 5 hours, calm, rested and thankful that I was now in a safe place. Change of doctors, new doctor says I should get dressed and go home. Motherfuckers.

Thanks for the info.

Question about using dual passports by matholioin australia

Your plan is correct. In fact I'm pretty sure its illegal to enter Australia on a non-Australian passport if you have one (I'm also a dual Australian/EU(UK) citizen)

I'm not sure what to say about this. by dan_particlein australia

Chocolate cigarettes. I thought they'd banned them, but I found some in a little family owned shop close to Bega. Good times.

Red frogs come with their green friends. They used to be 5c/frog at the tuck shop.

edit: also, pythons. They come in packs of 2 and are around 50cm long with swirly colours.

Aussie Delicacy Vegemite Loses Some of Its Savory Appeal. Yeasty Spread Is Acquired Taste, but Kids Today Are a Hard Sell (Wall Street Journal) by jms1225in australia

[–]hippity_dippity123 8 points9 points ago

You're preaching to the choir, but yes, you hit the nail on the head. I saw an American show once where they tried to get the audience to eat it. They put it on slices of apple (wtf?) and on crackers, no butter or margarine, and not spread either, just massive spoon fulls. Idiots.

BREAKING: Bob Katter acting like a rational human being with respect to Craig Thomson affair! by cojocoin australia

[–]hippity_dippity123 11 points12 points ago

At least 1/3 of what Katter says is far more sensible than any other MP. Its just the other 2/3 that makes people scratch their head when he says normal things.

Ever wondered why the government doesn't do anything about petrol prices? by Bluelabelin australia

[–]hippity_dippity123 0 points1 point ago

If you think the government is deliberately keeping petrol prices high, think again. Lowering petrol prices and general cost of living is a huge win. The revenue from higher petrol prices is a fart in the wind compared to the win of getting it lower. Also, they're actively trying to lower the number of people smoking cigarettes. I'm not sure why this post exists.

I unknowingly found a way around the "Australia tax" when purchasing Adobe CS6 today. by mrWLSNin australia

[–]hippity_dippity123 7 points8 points ago

I'm trying hard to bitch, but its impossible not to whenever this comes up. Where do they get the balls charging us hundreds more for an identical product to the American one? Why do they think they can get away with it, why do they charge us more and not others? Absolute bull crap.

People see a piece that supports one side of the spectrum and they scream bias. In reality, the ABC is neither left nor right inherently. They have periods where they report the news which is unfriendly to one side, but thats because one side is right and one side is wrong. Playing it down the center at all times is what CNN is, its not reporting. The ABC isn't impartial, it tells the truth, and sometimes the truth pisses people off.

Hopefully if enough communities take in these people they'll realize they are just people who need a bit of help, and will see through both of the major party's fear mongering about them.
