Actually, they realised that this would be a cause for concern and re-dubbed the movie; All restaurants are now "Pizza Hut"

TIL that a Roman Senator & Historian documented the Death of Jesus from a historical, non-religious perspective at the time Jesus was Crucified. by hackthefortressin atheism

So if someone from today read through an excerpt written during WW1 and wrote about it in a historical context it would be null and void?

Stop hating and see the bigger picture.

Modern Scholars (not Priests) list the Annals of Tacitus as Historical Documentation and Authentic.

I find it so funny that you complicate the matter so much that you miss the point.

Cultural? Jews in the Intertestamental Period? Political Setting?

What have these got to do with a Historian & Senator of the Roman Empire listing Jesus' Death at the hands of Pilate? A separate, non religious writing, that gives a historical account to what happens? Evidence that is outside of the Bible. It seems to me that its to much to handle for you.

Your argument is completely invalid and has nothing to do with the post. You just wanted to show us that you can use your big boy words as a rebuttal. Be proud of yourself mate - now we all know that you have studied literary and contextual criticism. claps all around But with all your studying and your long condescending comment, you don't have any evidence to disprove Tacitus' writings that are "Historical Documentation"

Let it simmer big boy.

The potato was first domesticated in the region of modern-day southern Peru.

My bad - remove AT THE TIME - but try seeing the "bigger" picture behind the Link yeah. Give it a go. Historical Documentation from a Non-Religious person - let it simmer.

Yeah I agree - you see I love to think - I love to study - but I am a Pentecostal Christian. I mean, alot of things that Atheists question, I struggle to answer, most Christians struggle. There are things where I just have to say, I trust and believe that there is a God and there is a Jesus. I mean, I have had my own personal experiences, hence why I believe. But to someone that hasnt and is a thinker - wouldnt find it as easy.

Christians are united in their belief in Christ being the Son of God, Atheists are united in their disbelief in any God.

WIKIPEDIA "Religion is a collection of cultural systems, belief systems, and worldviews that establishes symbols that relate humanity to spirituality"

Christians = God, Christ, etc. Atheist = Lack of God, Science, No Spirituality.

Atheists believe that there is no God and have proof in Science. Christians believe there is a God and have proof in the Bible. Both believe in something and believe they have something to back it up.

In the most simplistic form, they are opposites of the same. I know that Atheists cannot accept anything in simplistic form - which is why this will be raided by Atheists.

I love this - I am a born again believer in Christ and I completely agree with this. Even if the image is incorrect, the principal is the same. Did Jesus sit on a Throne when he was a carpenter, when he was walking the streets having lunch with the prostitutes and tax collectors... He lived what he preached. The Catholic church is probably the most twisted and hypocritical SECT i know of. I hate that they use the name of Jesus and just run him & his name through the mud.

I believe in God, i believe that he sent Jesus to die for me. I believe in Heaven and i believe in Hell. I dont believe that i am at a loss because i believe in God & Jesus - i am a 22 year old male, i am planning my wedding with my beautiful fiance, i own my own business and currently looking for a house to buy. I believe that i am blessed, but i also believe that if i did nothing then i would have nothing. I believe that God gives me the opportunities and its entirely up to me if i want to take them or not.

I love everyone and anyone - i love the minds true atheists have, always thinking and calculating. I love the passion true muslims have to pray 5 times a day. I believe that being judgmental is the opposite of what following Jesus is all about. And i believe the hatred against "Christians" is due to idiots saying that they are "Christians" yet not following in Christ's footsteps... like they are supposed to.

I love reading /r/atheism - not so i can judge on Atheists or hate on Atheists - i enjoy the way you analyse and the arguments and points that are brought out. I believe differently to you, doesn't mean i have to cause arguements and fights, put you down and cause hatred and ill-feelings.

I try to live my life the way Jesus did - he didn't descriminate on anyone - he just loved. Thats what i believe a true follower of Christ is. The rest, the ones that say "im christian" but spit in everyones faces with their words, majority... are liars. They may know some verses in the bible, but they have not even tried to live it.

I don't like the status of Christian - its dirty now, tainted by many. I follow God, i follow Jesus, i believe in the Bible - nothing more & nothing less. And i am happy - content that i am not missing out on anything.
