Most morally challenging thing I have ever done in Skyrim [SPOILERS] by Themingemacin skyrim

Who the fuck would want him dead, anyway?

I had to kill Narfi, man. He never was a dick to me. He just missed his sister. Poor bastard. I murdered him while he slept in the remains of his family home. The home where he and his sister grew up. Where they laughed and played.

I ended up posting this to /r/skyrim. I received it from a coworker, didn't know better, etc. You're a rad guy for not being a dick about reposting it.

I justified it in a RP way.

My wood elf character sided with the empire and helped them to secure Skyrim because she didn't appreciate Ulfric's racist tenancies.

However, being a wood elf she HATES what the Thalmor do. Once she found out they raided Valenwood and did a little "cleansing" she came to the conclusion that the empire is a good influence, but the emperor was either corrupt or weak and he needed to die.

So she killed him. His speech and dignity swayed her, but at that point she was committed to her new family in Dawnstar and his death was the only way to keep the family together. So she reluctantly killed him. So broken up over what she had to do, she killed the noble who originally hired her so his corrupt, greedy hands couldn't grab the reigns of power.

Shit. Someone else posted the image? My bad. I received a link from a friend and didn't see the Madonna post.

Powerful enemy mages? by Lucifers_Friendin skyrim

[–]godbois 1 point2 points ago

You could try making "mage buster" gear. Enchant your swords and bows with lightning (to drain their magicka) and your armor with magic resistance. You can keep it in your house unless you know you're going up against a mage heavy area.

Alternatively you can brew potions and pound them in combat (I always have two fire resistance potions, two frost resistance potions, etc.) You can also poison your weapons with magicka specific potions (drain magicka, damage regeneration rate, etc.)

When I'm going up against an uber mage I usually sneak attack them with a couple magicka poisoned lightning enchanted bow attacks and then rush them with whirlwind sprint. A couple of power attacks and they're usually crying blood.

Edit: Also remember for those who specialize in the conjuration school, take out the mage and their summoned monster/zombie will collapse into ash. Don't waste your energy on their puppet unless you really have to, they're usually just summon another and another.

Whirlwind sprint works great for this. Use it to get right up in their business.

I escaped with the stormcloak, but I found an imperial on the roadoutside of whiterun who gave me the quest join the imperials. I ended up going with the empire eventually.

It amuses me this guide costs more than what I paid for the game.

An assassin's weapons and the trophies they generate. by only_to_downvotein skyrim

[–]godbois 0 points1 point ago

Okay. I'm going to ask this because I'm apparently a noob who can't find jack on Google.

How do you place items on shelves like that? So far I've been dumping all my loot in chests and barrels. I'd love to use some of my unused shelves.

This needs to be modded. High level soul gems generate soft screams when you're nearby, sort of like Nirnroot rings.

If you do this on the T, you are a humongous asshole by theylive_wesleepin boston

[–]godbois 2 points3 points ago

So would you prefer bags be outlawed on the T, then? Let's just outlaw clothes, too, because they add unnecessary bulk and reduce available standing room.

The T just got a whole lot sexier and more terrifying. I call it sexifying.

According to some of the lore I guess the dragur clean the tombs and what not when they're not slaying adventurers. Apparently they also make candles and stoke those bowl fires.

FTP client of choice? by godboisin web_design

[–]godbois[S] 0 points1 point ago

Neither have I. I'm not entirely sure why I'm not as large of a fan of it any longer. It gets the job done and I use it every day. I've been using it for years.

I'm really just looking for something that's just better, you know? Extra features that FileZilla doesn't offer that might make my life easier. Stuff that I don't miss because I've never had them.

How do I use the T? by Narnithin boston

[–]godbois 0 points1 point ago

I can't best the tips provided here by my Bostonian brothers and sisters, they hit the nail on the head.

As far as the T, don't be worried. I was when I first started working in the city. I still am about sections I've yet to take. But worst case scenario, you look a little stupid to some people you'll never in all likelihood ever see again. If you need help, ask a T employee. Hell, most other commuters will probably help you too.

I help two or three tourists a week fresh from Logan. They're always terrified, but they're always surprised at how easy it is.
