That's my biggest gripe. It's very limited. What about users, not only suggesting items, but having them automatically load into a database that everyone can choose from.

If you want to get technical, there is likely a dominant Asian subculture at UCLA, and if the campus is any reflection of worldwide population statistics, the Chinese population dwarfs the Japanese. But just a guess.
