funny somewhat related story, during the 60's I believe, the Hell's Angels had gained a really bad rep. After a while of being portrayed as marauding motorcycling murderers, they would begin to pull over when they saw someone broke down on the side of the road. they would fix the car, help them out, and then give them a card that essentially said 'you have just been helped by the frisco hell's angels' and ride off into the sunset. I read this in Thompson's hells angels book, so it may be flawed. but its a badass story.

its not the karma so much, its that due to high karma, this post goes higher in the page. As recent posts have said, the upovte everything mentality has lead to a massive reduction in quality as people need to search harder to find better posts.

i mean, this guy was having a conversation about trying to most effectively karma whore, then he just tagged a [6] on the title to double his results by posting in trees. its fun, but its kind of a bummer when you never get any real thought provoking posts anymore.
