Preclose as much as possible. Break down as much equipment as you can without fucking yourself. Get everything possible over to dish ASAP. I've emptied out my product onto a sheet pan so I can get all the 3rds and 6ths to dish. Get on the floors as soon as possible. The key to closing quickly is getting as much done before you close. Just keep in mind you'll still need to be able to push food out if you get a late rush/table.

Keep a cool head, you'll be fine. If they are giving you closes, than you must be doing something right .

Closing is easy. Put away food, clean equipment, turn off equipment, pour beer from the tap into a kiddie cup for the ride home. It's the opens that are a bitch because you're on a time table. Closing there is no real pressure for time. At least at first, once you do it awhile you'll be expect to get it done quicker as to keep labor down.

Keep it clean and organized and you'll be the closing God. You want the day crew to come in and be like, "wow, nice close last night", "I love opening after Shadownhero closes". etc...

Day games are a bitch like that. I made that mistake once. All the garages are full from people that work downtown. Best bet is to take the rapid for the weekday afternoon starts.

I vote 1 for now. I don't mind a little comic diversion within the sub-reddit. I stopped subscribing to the reddits where this stuff is usually posted, so seeing a well thought out meme relevant to the sub-reddit I'm in is okay with me.

However a problem can arise when there is too much of this and the sub-reddit is overran with memes and other diversions making actual substantive content harder to find.

I appreciate the mods getting the communities' opinion on this matter before it reaches a problematic level. I do say for now, let these memes go and see how well the community does at self policing them. When /r/investing shows failure in doing so, then I think banning them should be considered, but not at this point.

Part of the magic of baseball is the long season. You ride the ups and downs. Waiting until September and then going if your team in still in the hunt is missing the beauty of the season.

My first game of the season is today. I used to attend more games in April and May, but honestly now if I spend my money, I want to enjoy a game in nice weather. I'm not going to any less games, I'm just going to more games in June, July, and August. I guess that makes me a fair weather fan in a more literal sense.

I expect attendance to improve. Wining this series vs. Detroit only helps too.

Time to get off reddit and get ready for the game. I really hope we can get a couple of runs off Verlander today, and Masterson steps up to keep us in the game.

Agreed, And that is one reason I don't think we are seeing the buzz about the Tribe. It is not some great feat to be in first when none else in the division are over .500.

You can't blame the principal for the state of public jobs or society. Hopefully this event will usher in more common sense decisions. Would be nice if eventually things swing back the other way where common sense once again puts blind policy following in the back seat.

As far as the principal, she made a mistake and corrected it. I give her credit for that.
