Combat Exoskeleton Marches Toward Afghanistan Deployment | Wired.com by 1infiniteloopin technology

With 200 lb weight, each soldier can carry a foldable motocross bike. Motorbikes can go up to 100 mph and have a range of 200 miles.

Need to look at new tactics for exo-soldiers. Rapid deployment forces will be transformed. Mechanized exo-infantry with UAVs will be far closer to firepower of tanks.

One C5B able to deliver 120 tons could deliver one or at most 2 tanks or 500 exo-soldier with full gear or a mix of 200 exo-soldiers with 20 lightly armored vehicles.

Outdoor Air pollution deaths are ten thousand times larger effect than what Chernobyl might be

Air pollution deaths are a lot higher and easier to determine statistically. As air pollution fluctuates day by day and city by city the number of hospitalizations changes. The correlations are direct and immediate. There is constant air pollution at high levels.

http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs313/en/index.html

Indoor air pollution is estimated to cause approximately 2 million premature deaths mostly in developing countries. Almost half of these deaths are due to pneumonia in children under 5 years of age.

Urban outdoor air pollution is estimated to cause 1.3 million deaths worldwide per year. Those living in middle-income countries disproportionately experience this burden.

So if there was a Chernobyl every day for 200 years then there would be equally clear statistics as to the effects of radiation versus air pollution.

Because air pollution has been going on for so long at such high levels then the people are getting sick and dying all the time. the radiation events above background levels have been rare and the deaths have been few and difficult to track and have not happened because cancer takes decades to develop. Only the Hiroshima and Nagasaki deaths have happened based on radiation exposures and not immediate deaths from the weapons.

Chernobyl and air pollution are not the same level of cause and effect. Pollen count and air pollution are both measured at precise levels every day in hundreds of cities. The changes in hospitalization can be clearly tracked and attributed.

1.3 million deaths per year is 2.3% of all deaths in a year. 4000 deaths over 35 years is 2 out of every million deaths. The second decimal place versus the 6th decimal place.

Here is the study of air pollution particulates impacting daily mortality http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11246487
