If I was you I would rent speakers rather than buy them. Speakers are quite cheap to rent compared to buying and you can get the people who you're DJing for to cover it.

I have the Numark DJ2Go. It's alright but looking back I wish I'd saved more and gotten a better controller with more buttons. If you do get it, I'd recommend getting an Akai LPD8 or Korg Nanokontrol so you have more buttons for playing around with.
