As an American, I feel left out from the DnB scene. Any other American bass heads? by YouSadBroin DnB

I saw Camo & Crooked at Trinity bar also! Got to speak/have a beer with them after their set, they were really nice! You have to admit, the scene in Canberra is SLOWLY getting better though.

yeh, I instantly recognised Redlight but it's that bass line I want. I've searched everywhere but all the online versions are just the same as the youtube clip.

Yeh Parklife man, were you there? I was at the front centre right up against the barrier for their entire set as well. Managed to have a very brief chat but I felt like they were more interested in the girls + I didn't want to be that annoying fan so I left pretty quick.

Another Canberran!? Are you doing your PhD up at Mt Stromlo? Brian was my lecturer for an astro subject I did a couple of semesters ago at ANU! He was the best lecturer I've ever had and held a passion for the subject that transferred to all the students. At the end of our final lecture he gave me and a few other people some wine from his vineyard!

He was my lecturer for an Astrophysics subject I did last semester at ANU! He was actually the best lecturer I've ever had and held a passion for the subject that transferred to all the students.

For the final lecture of the course he asked the class to come up with any questions we had about the universe. He managed to answer practically every single one, hand drawn diagrams and all. At the end of that lecture he also gave me and a few other people some wine from his vineyard.

It is an illusion that God gives purpose to life. Ultimately everything in the world will turn out as God wants it and as revelations predicts it no matter what your friend does with his life. Ultimately all of humanity is some kind of plaything for God. There is no purpose in being his antfarm, is there?

His position on this is that God has in fact given us free will in the choice to decide whether to believe in him or not. In my mind this makes God seem evil because if he is all powerful/knowing then he should understand why people don't believe in him yet he still sends them to hell??

The purpose he gains from believing in God is to know of, understand and believe in God as he has created this world for us and thus we are forever indebted. I personally do understand this reasoning. Thanks for replying!

I'll have to get back to you on the self-interest test, I only heard of it for the first time today. I've given a brief description of what I thought he meant in reply to a couple of other posts but I'll get his understanding soon. Thanks!
