Can anyone explain why Justin Bieber is on the New Zealand First front page? by tomcosmin newzealand

[–]foxthegoldfish 5 points6 points ago

Won't you get in trouble, seeing as it is so easy to find how you are linked to the Green party?

Or don't they care?

Govt ups student loan repayments to 12% and caps allowance at 4 years by Naly_Din newzealand

[–]foxthegoldfish 1 point2 points ago

Agreed. I'm in my 3rd year this year and at the start of the year I made the hard decision to leave my part time job so I would have more energy to devote to my study as I need good grades to get into Honors.

Having a part time job was possible for me but it would probably mean sacrificing my grades which I wasn't prepared to do.

I didn't come to Uni for the allowance but it has certainly helped make Uni a realistic possibility for me.

Beautiful tiny house with lots of great built-ins including bunk beds and even a green roof by Dreaming_of_Watersin TinyHouses

Doesn't seem that weird to me. The loft is above the same end of the house as the kids room is in.

There is also another double bed in the kids room which you could replace with a single bed or another set of bunks

The pictures show the master bed being in the loft

It is perfect! I have always wanted a tiny house, but I wanted one that could fit all my necessities and a family, this could but is still tiny :)

Good advice, I don't want to make myself feel fat or something right before my wedding, that wouldn't be helpful at all. Certainly something to consider

Could a tall/curvy/busty girl pull this off? by foxthegoldfishin femalefashionadvice

[–]foxthegoldfish[S] 0 points1 point ago

I get married in October so I'm looking for the dress. I don't want a floor length dress and think this dress is adorable. However, I am quite busty and curvy so I usually avoid high chested dresses as I don't find they look that great on me. Do you think I could be able to wear something like this dress?

I think Owls are awesome, so I had to make one as my first square.

I think using a satin stitch for the beak/feet would be the perfect idea, thanks!

Thanks, it was really fun to just pick it up and give it a go.

Thanks for the advice, that seems like a great idea! I will have to practice a bit first but that seems like the way to go.

It wasn't as hard as I thought. I was too lazy to look at tutorials online or anything so I just decided what I wanted to make, then made a paper pattern out of plain paper, drew around that on my fabric, cut it out and stitched it all together. It seemed to work really well :D

It's not perfect or super tidy but I have no idea about quilting and made it all up myself .

My only current dilemma is I need to make feet and a beak for him, I have a bit of orange fabric but I can't work out how to make it work.

I'm quite new to sewing but it is all a bit of fun really :D

I can't stand the combination of mint and chocolate. What commonly beloved food do you get harassed for not liking? by elosorussoin AskReddit

Chocolate and orange. YUCK! Jaffas are very very popular candy here, they are chocolate and orange and I hate them so much.

That sucks, I have been with them for a while and never had any problems. Hopefully you like whoever you are with now.

The wording is not misleading at all, it is very clear.
