you can get a good, long shower from the 9kg LPG tanks like she has. it's common in the typical nz 'bach' (holiday home). we'd go through one a week for the family over the summer. she could put one in for less than $1000.

yeah, at one point or another my male best friends and i have asked each other out (whether involving too much vodka, or just one of us suddenly got interested). invariably we'd turn each other down, laugh at it, and continue on our way. good friendships survive that, and in my opinion ALL friendships involved a little bit of attraction. so it's normal to poke it and see if it's got legs.

i loved flying jetblue when i was in the US. best service, hands down. i fly air new zealand mostly across the pacific. oh, and i will NOT fly ryanair. it scares me. the pilots cannot fly properly.

yes, it's the same here in new zealand. we have brothels and well-regulated systems but still have the odd street walker. we had a high-profile murder case last year, and the police went hard-out to solve it. one thing that really helped in the legalization process was bringing up a dialogue across the country about why prostitution exists and not demonizing the women who chose to do this. all in all i think our country is the better for it.

i don't have a zombie plan but i guess my 'getting stuck in europe after wwIII starts' plan could apply. i get down the bottom tip of spain and steal a boat to morocco. head south/east and steal another boat to the canary islands. i hang out there a bit and pretend i'm a boy, and make friends with the nicest guy in port who has a large catamaran for speed. once we're friends i let him know i'm a girl and if we can get to new zealand we'll get married so he gets residency. then we sail down the south africa and wait til the weather let's us cross the dangerous cape. from there it's a sweet sail west to indonesia, we'd be battling pirates but that's just a risk we have to take. from indonesia we head southwest, around the top of the nz coast and live rustic lives in the bush.

or she'll tell him she loves him, but not romantically. they'll continue to be best friends for the rest of their lives, marry other people - with possible bonus of more good friends: her husband, and his wife - spend holidays together with their families, live in separate places, see each other when possible, and be happy and joyous at having each other in their lives. i would hate to have my worldview so small, believing that men and woman cannot have rich, non-romantic friendships.

i agree with gustoreddit51. if you are friends, and truly the type of friends who love each other wholeheartedly, she'll accept this news and think on it, or give a kind no, and continue to love you. your feelings will change for her over time back to friendship. i've been through this many times with men who have become my most dearest, wonderful friends for many years later, whether i was attracted to them, them to me, or one after the other (common in my life..). most good friendships between men and women start off with some kind of attraction, it's natural. get it out there and move on.

but my i offer one piece of practical advice: be prepared, completely and fully prepared, for her to turn you down. be prepared for this before you tell her. you have to accept the truth that she may only love you as a friend.

and don't listen to all the naysayers out there. warm, caring men and women can be friends for life without consumating.

is it not possible that she was injured by a russian landmine and the funding for her crutches came from the US? i am not an american and am not apologizing for any country at war, but this could have happened to her by various factions. she's a victim of war, yes. not necessarily a victim of the US. as other's have said, war sucks and saying one country at war is worse than another continues the possibility of further war.

hell yeah. girl affirming this info. by taking a woman with you to a bar as your wingman, you're able to talk to most other women at the bar as per above reasoning. once you're in conversation you can mention something like 'so my friend here is getting married next week and i thought i'd take her out to celebrate', something that makes it clear you aren't together.

edit: what makes this image so poignant to me is that this image is beyond her being afgan and beyond whoever may have caused her suffering: she's a child, and her smile is outside of a discourse referring to any particular war agent. her vibrance should give us a moment's pause to look beyond who is causing the suffering and just decry the imposition of suffering by anyone, by any power.

edit: re-read wikipedia, gives required info (To achieve the "flat", non-frothy texture the steamed milk is poured from the bottom of the jug, holding back the lighter froth on the top in order to access milk with smaller bubbles, making the drink smooth and velvety in texture.)

nz has it's own navy and sea route monitors. there is also an agreement in place, if that were found to be breached it would seriously damage diplomatic relations between two otherwise 'friendly' countries.
