They won't usually respawn, but evenif they do, it takes a very long time.

OK, or, begin watching it for Timothy Olyphant. :D

Yes, it's one of the best shows on television. The writing is superb, the plots are excellent, the casting (obviously) is perfect, and there are very few leading men who can fucking own the screen like Olyphant in a cowboy hat. Especially when Elmore Leonard is involved.

Found this bottle of rum in my grandpa's liquor cabinet, unopened. From a quick Google search it looks like it was discontinued and is now worth upwards of $150 in good condition, can someone confirm this? [x-post from r/rum] by CitizenFordin liquor

[–]ewilliam 2 points3 points ago

Good rum > cheap rum. Just sayin'.

Anyway, if Google says it's "worth" $150, you can expect to make half that on the open market, at best.

Urban Myth #32,482: Daddy Longlegs are venomous, but their fangs are so small that they can't hurt humans.

It's just daddy longlegs, man. They're the goofy retarded cousin of spiders.

I started Diablo 3 with MY wallpaper (New Vegas) and had more than great results by 900900900900in gaming

[–]ewilliam 0 points1 point ago

Personally, it's just a painful reminder that so many of the promises that that artwork represented were never fulfilled. Looking at that picture, New Vegas looks like a huge, bustling city of lights. In reality, though, it's just one short strip with a handful of rather boring casinos. In my humble opinion, this is the one area where Obsidian really pooched it...and this is coming from a HUGE fan of the game.

The writing is seamless, and top notch. I love the little throwaway insults that get bandied about. My favorite passing crack from last week:

Selina: Where's Dan?

Amy: Texting himself pictures of his dick.

Anna Chlumsky all grown up is just really great, and JLD as a crass VP works so well. It definitely gets better after the pilot. I think I laughed more during this last ep than any previous ones.

Oh. My. Fuck. You just took it to the next level. I am doing that next time!

Hey, Brazilian: so, I am a big fan a certain type of Cachaça...the label looks weirdly like old USSR propaganda, with some bearded guy on it who seems to be some kind of Nostradamus character...called Velho Barreiro. Ever heard of it? Is it worthy, or am I just a Cachaça n00b?

What trivial act would you like to ban or make illegal? Personally, I would like to outlaw public speakers who start off by saying, "I can't hear you!" or "Let's try that again!" by danger_mcboomin AskReddit

I made a little f7u12 comic about this like 3 years ago. Got downvoted to hell. Quite a few people in the comments tried to draw analogies to live performances.

Apparently, the fact that it's NOT a live performance, and that they were clapping at an inanimate screen, was lost on them.

I'm glad to see you get upvotes, respect.

Except wine from Chablis isn't really the style itself.

I think you're simply mincing words now. If "Chablis" wasn't representative of the style itself, then E&J Gallo wouldn't have made a wine called 'Chablis' from California back in the '80s. And countless wine critics and bottle label description writers wouldn't refer to a Chardonnay from somewhere other than France as "a Chablis-style Chardonnay". Chablis is most definitely a "style" of wine.

Gruyere is both a style of cheese and a region, Chablis is just a region that happens to make a unique form of chardonnay.

And the argument that the French are trying to make is that the Gruyere from Gruyere is unique, just like Pinot Noir from Romanee de la Conti or Sauv Blanc from Sancerre.

There is a sensible way to solve this, and we can look to the wine world for that solution: just call it "Gruyere-style cheese". That way, people know that it's a certain style, but it's not from the particular region of Gruyere.

Wine from California isn't a style of wine. This is hardly the same thing.

Except in France (and to some extent in other European countries), the place does represent a style of wine. Wine from Chablis is a style. Wine from Montlouis is a style. They're very serious when it comes to this stuff, to the point where you're only allowed to plant certain grape varietals in some AOCs.
