Does this happen at anyone else's LGS?

My local store doesn't trade for cash or store credit, just other cards. There are also times when he simply won't have the desired card(s) in stock (esp. foils). With these particular circumstances, I don't see anything wrong with selling cards to other customers. However, what the guy in the OP was doing was directly trying to undercut the LGS that actually did provide those services, which is pretty scummy.

I've built ranged carry builds from free farm Teemo top (v Trynd, Udyr, Nasus, Garen, Singed... the usual people that get hard countered by him). Infinity edge, double PD, lifesteal.

That'd be an interesting brew. But seems like if you didn't rip dissipation field quickly you just die to any early threat they put out.

Here's the issue; you're looking at casting a 4CMC spell at sorcery speed to buy time against your opponents attacks. So dissipation field is in direct competition with day of judgment - which gets rid of all creature based threats immediately and can be recast from the yard with snapcaster. If you're not running U/W, U/R still has slagstorm, U/B still has black sun zenith. Dissipation field isn't necessarily bad, but there are just far better options available. I suppose if you were running some U/G control deck it would be a sensible option (esp. since you can get it out T3 with any bit of green ramp), but I don't see why you'd play it otherwise. Also as an enchantment it doesn't trigger Delver or Runechanter's pike.

I have two I'm in the process of making. One is puresteel humans, which is a aggro-control-midrange-infinite combo deck. The other is heartless architect, which is also aggro-control-midrange-non infinite combo deck.

Was considering mono-black aggro... but that deck simply just isn't good.

Fast armor/shield upgrades. Most tosses default for super quick attack upgrades even when they aren't doing a zealot timing attack or plan on holding off mass zergling with zealots. Without these upgrades, a mutalisk will do 9+3+1 damage with each attack, 13 total. This will go down to 8+2+0, roughly 23% damage reduction. Sentries with guardian shield also reduce muta dps significantly, and also provide FF to help against the zerg's supporting ground army.

His numbers are incredibly low. He has no CC and loses to any midlane with a dash. All he can do is zone well.

You pump him, hit for 3 and then get a stronger guy next turn - he also makes it so not having a 2 drop kills your tempo, which is huge for consistency in aggro decks. That's the issue with young wolf - you're not getting consistent value from him. If they don't trade it's just a dorky 1/1 for 1 - then as soon as they have a 2/3 or greater (or a 2/x with first strike, double strike, etc) he just stops being useful.

My big complaint is on the thin wall that fences off the mid lane. It basically makes it so you need a flash type ability to gank from or into the midlane. (The fact that the jungle can only enter from the topleft means midlanes can just hug the bottom wall most of the time). Any mid without a blink is at a SEVERE disadvantage, far greater than not having a blink on SR. I'm also not sure what's going on at the top left corner - it that square area open? I see a grey "wall" there but I'm not sure what that signifies. Besides that, I like the design of the jungle and with the symmetry I think there's greater liberty to add small camps on the line of symmetry that the teams/junglers will have to fight over.

A well played support takes a lot of decision making skill and has gigantic impact on game, even if not very fast or mechanically demanding. Solo lane is 90% mechanics. So there is some truth to what he's saying, depending on how you look at it.

Because this game is revolved around being able to win 1v1 fights...

Good bruisers can provide CC (Nidalee has none), burst down injured opponents (which AP bruiser does far better) and provide general interference inbetween the enemy's team (most importantly their AP carry) and your carry. Bruiser nidalee can't heal the carry for any relevant amount, can't kill the AP carry before he nukes down your carry, can't provide any CC to stop anybody that wants to kill your carry, has far worse poke than AP bruiser, etc... On the other hand a GOOD bruiser like Lee Sin can Q to the carry, apply a massive AS and MS debuff, kick them out of the teamfight, then just safeguard back to the team.

With the proper setup Shaco can do a double buff gank by around ~2:20 into the game. While a gankless Shaco is close to useless, you could also say an Udyr that's less farmed than the support is also useless late game. True, but Udyr's kit allows him to farm very well and Shaco's allows him to be the best ganker in the game.

In limited this can very easily trade for 3 creatures. Hold's the ground like a boss.
